I was on Facebook when I saw this ad on the right side of the screen. It intreged me because I was interested in a new set of cooking knives. I clicked on it and they had a special on a free knife for just $1.00 shipping and right below another knife and sharpener for $15.95. I purchased both items. I got them and the invoice reflected the one knife at $1.00 and the other knife and sharpener at the $15.95 price. I figured it was liget because there was no mention of further charges if I didn't call and cancel the offer.
Then on 02/06/2014 I got a call from the automated Chase Bank system telling me my balance on that account was only $96.00. I went online and found that accout had been charged another $88.94 from NMG. When I tried calling the pre-recorded message amswered only Card Services and not NMG. I called several times that day and according to the recording they should have been taking calls. That made me suspicious. Then I did some research and found I was not the only one that had been hood-winked by NMG.
I went to the Chase bank website and filed a complaint by email to their security department. I hope I have learned my lesson about buying anything from anyone online unless it is a Retail Store site, Amazon or Ebay. I can only hope Chase will return my money and good luck to them if they do ever get a hold of NMG.
