A Richard Eden from a company called NL Walker and Assoc. called and said his company had been hired by certain third parties to promote their stock, but they only worked with companies with stocks they were assured were solid and had huge potential to go up in value as their salaries depended on their clients doing well. He named a stock called azure holdings (AZRHE) currently selling at $1.84 a share and enticed me to fund my Scottrade acct and buy as many shares as I could afford. This company purportedly made an app for iphones which allowed customers to see best prices on items in large dept stores. After calling NL Walker to verify they were above board and speaking over a couple weeks with this Richard Eden, I made a modest investment and bought ~ 2500 shares. It was supposed to be left alone until June when the price would at that time be ~ $5.00. Long story short, the stock plummeted, NL Walker (Off: 323-852-9000) disappeared and "Richard Eden" (cell: 310-779-7047) was no longer accepting calls. This was obviously a promote and dump stock scheme and I was stupidly duped by this scam. Azure holdings turned out to be a used car dealership owned by a Russian woman named Olga....These bastards scammed a large number of 'investors' based on the complaints uncovered and hopefully will be made to pay, but my advice is: don't EVER invest in anything promoted by someone or some corporation who contacts you by phone or online. Only invest in proven legitimate opportunities that YOU initiate. I've filed a police report, a report w/ the Better Business Bureau and have contacted Consumer Collection Advocates to advise them of this scam, but the money I invested is unfortunately lost and won't be recouped.
