Newton Animal Hospital. BEWARE of Dr. Nani Cha. Dr. Cha is incompetent. Much to my horror and dismay, Dr. Cha pulled porcupine quills from my dog without sedation or pain management. That is unconscionable! Firstly, it is incomprehensible to me that a Veterinarian could be so cruel. Secondly, it is incomprehensible to me that the Dr. would iterate to me, after improperly caring for my pet and causing her fear and pain, that "she didn't like it" referring to the quill removal without pain relief or sedation. Well of course the dog didn't like it! Poor thing. This is the second time Dr. Cha has displayed to me what a terrible Vet she is. The first time I wrote a letter complaining about Dr. Cha and her lack of Veterinary skills, Dr. Costlow, the practice owner, supported me in writing. This time I Left a voice mail for office manager Karen Loree. The office manager's response was to send me a letter terminating me as a client, because, according to her, I had an outburst and raised my voice and cursed at the staff. I did no such thing. In a voicemail to Karen Loree I said that I was so upset at the improper care of and pain caused to my pet that I wanted to call Dr. Cha the "c" word, but I did not actually stoop to using profanity.
In summation - BEWARE of Dr. Nani Cha. DO NOT USE HER! She is unqualified.
The other Vets at NAH are wonderful. However, being that the owner Dr. Don Costlow chooses to support Dr. Cha and keep her in his employ, as well as terminate me as a client after greater than 40 years, simply because I complained about an incompetent Vet, I recommend Animal Emergency and Referral Associates - 1237 Bloomfield Ave Fairfield, NJ (973) 788-0500
