This "company" claims to help find grants to fund your small business and/or other initiatives. I was naïve enough to provide my debit card details to them to pay a $29.95 fee for... What exactly?! Pretty much to find information on their website that is listed and available everywhere on Google. Once I submitted my card details, a window popped up with a message saying that the card information provided already exists in their system and that I needed to enter another card number. Really?? That message right away shattered my confidence in their mission to help and I closed out of their website.
Then, literally five minutes after I submitted the initial payment, their "representative" calls me and leaves a voicemail asking to call back ASAP as "many funding opportunities represented by our organization are waiting to be utilized immediately". That very prompt phone call and very eager voicemail left me even more suspicious. I never called back, but several days later I still keep getting calls from "them" from different US states and area codes including Chicago. They claim to be in Delaware.
Should the user wish to cancel their account or change the login information, it is simply impossible to do so. This option is NOT provided by USA Funding website. So, you don't even know what exactly you are "logging" into.
After doing some research I'm now aware of the fact that it is illegal for any organization writing and issuing grants to charge a fee. Their offices already get paid by the Federal Government to write and issue grants.
Overall, the number of complaints about New USA Funding is endless. Just as an example, a complaint similar in nature to my complaint, posted by a user to www.complaints.com:
"I also signed up for the $29.99 service in March. I did note that the $29.99 is refundable if you get turned down for a grant that you applied for. However there isn't even a grant available for help for a down payment for a first time homebuyer. So there's nothing to apply for. They also tricked me into applying for another program through the same site that has a $24.95 charge. I now realize that there are sites like this that prey on people who are strapped for cash and take even more of our hard earned money to provide "services" that don't even exist for my specific needs. AND to make matters worse they debited my checking account AGAIN in April for both of these charges. Now I definitely do not recall seeing mention of the fact that these charges are MONTHLY. I called them and they now assure me that my "membership" is cancelled and there will be no further charges. Of course no mention was made of a refund."
Please do what is in your power to close this "organization" down. They are shamelessly taking advantage of people looking for help. Doesn't get any lower than that. But reflects our times perfectly.
All these people do is take others money. You are trying to get ahead and they are taking what you have. They tried to make me pay them a $29.95 NON REFUNDABLE fee until I told them I would call the bank and tell them all they are doing is ripping off the general public. They then stated they would refund the money (talking really fast so you will not be able to understand what they are saying) and gave me a CANCELLATION NUMBER of 3112769343 ON 5-16-16 @ 3:18 AM. I told them to rest assured I will check to be sure they put back my money in 3 to 5 business days. I will also call the BBB and report them. This makes no sense. I can find over 300 new funding sources in a week or month too. Search the Internet morons. They will pay for what they are doing. We should start a class action suit for them taking our money. I don't usually do things like this but wasn't really paying attention. I am sick; I have fractured ribs ! Evil people ! They have a number listed to some Federal number. Call it and see what happens. It is 1-866-705-5711. Address: https://newusafunding.com/membersonly/writing.php. Lets start a class action suit. Take back everything they have stolen.
My seventeen year old son was trying to prepare for college and was looking for grants and low cost loans before starting school. He answered an email that was sent to him for grant information and fantastic loan opportunities for school. He filled out the application which illuded that he would only pay a one time fee of $29.95 and results were guaranteed. He gave his bank card information but didn't realize that he was being charged 29.95 every month. This was 5 months ago and he hasn't recieved anything for his money. I called tonight upon noticing the defecit in his account. They said (of course) that they don't provide any service at all, just access to some website that gives you grant and loan information. You of course have to find the grant or loan and apply to the web site for that grant directly. I demanded his money back, The lady Jonah who answered the phone at 11:00 at night I might add. Told me he could only get back the most recent $29.95 charge. and she will cancel the account. It will take 5-7 business days for the credit to appear in his account. I said that was unacceptable as they ripped off a minor who was not legally bound by a contract and she said that I would have to send an email to their support area to see what could be done. I will update you when a refund or settlement on this is made, just don't hold your breath I wouldn't want anyone reading this to pass out waiting.
Did he ever recieve his refund?? I was recently scammed by the same website. I called and cancelled and asked for a refund as well... curiously and nervously waiting....
