I was a student of the Institute of Allied Medical Professions in Stamford CT. They have since closed down(or were shut down) that campus and are now the New Jersey Institute of Ultrasound.
The staff is incompetent and extremely unprofessional. The teachers lacked the knowledge necessary to successfully prepare students. The equipment was outdated or not working at all. However, the week that inspectors came in, the broken equipment magically disappeared and supplies were abundant. Sadly, things returned to usual after the inspection.
The administration hired a secretary without a background check. They gave her immediate access to files containing sensitive personally identifiable information. She stole my identity, used my social security number and charged thousands of dollars on my credit card. I was not the only student she did this to.
I started to do some research and found that this school has been hit with many complaints in the past. I found an article at www.nydailynews.com/new-york/trade-school -hit-student-complaints. I realized that the school was a scam.
I requested a FULL refund. I received a portion of the money that I put out to attend this school. They still owe me money. When I call the New Jersey campus, the various people that answer tell me they are new and can't answer any questions regarding their affiliation with the Institute of Allied Medical Professions.
