My husband and I bought a house through Caring Neighbors Sept.4, 2014. We paid 2000 deposit and payments were 490 a month, our statement said that included taxes and insurance. Feb.21, 2015 around 2 am our house caught on fire, the fire department determined it was an electrical fire in the attic, they pulled the meter, after chopping a hole in the roof to put out the fire. The next day I called them to let them know what happened, we have 5 children and were basically homeless. I was sent to look at a house in a neighboring town- I refused it because it had dirt floors and no ceilings. So we lived in a hotel thinking because we paid insurance the house would be fixed. After 5 weeks of being told they are waiting to hear from insurance and do not know how long it will take we found another house to rent, not owned by them. Today is June 20, 2015, I went to check the mail at that house yesterday and found someone else there getting ready to move in! We hadn't moved all of our stuff, because we were told to wait on insurance. We had 2 vehicles stored in the garage, their contract stated that we were not allowed on the property, they were getting vin #s because they said they were told even the vehicles went with the house. Then I found out the same company that took my deposit, promised me a solution to the fire, had listed my house for sale on April22, 2015. The people that bought our house brought an eviction notice dated for December, which is bogus, I have reciepts to prove I paid until March, and another eviction notice supposedly issued in April, of course this is the first we had heard of it, we never received any notice of any kind from this company. And to make matters worse I found out the company refused to give the insurance information to the fire chief, so we were billed $500 for the fire being put out. This is absolutely un professional behavior, I don't know what to do.
