Scammed, Too

I just saw my bank statement and wondered what $89.41 and $94.95 was for since I did not authorize that amount, only $4.95. If I had to pay that for small bottles then they should send the bigger bottles that I asked for. I didn't see the 14 days to cancel and did not see that the $4.95 was shipping for the more expensive bottles that I purchased later and didn't authorize, I thought the $4.95 shipping was for the free samples. I would like either the bigger bottle I found out I paid for or get my money back since the bottle were not sent to me.

They are VERY Tricky. We are charged heavily for their products. BE AWARE.

DO NOT ask for their FREE skincare products.

What was supposed to be a free trial cost me $89.95. They say my invoice stated 6 times that I had to cancel within 14 days but IT DIDNT. I want my money back. Ive read a dozen other reports stating the same thing. I asked them how to return the product and they wouldnt let me. I want my money back!

My spouse purchased 2 skin care samples in May 2015 from New Age Skin Care on line through the newageskincare.com website. The samples were advertised as “trials”, and she purchased “New Age Serum” at $6.97 for shipping and handling, and “New Age Cream” at $5.95. There were no other costs for these products listed on the website, so she ordered them. There was, however, a link titled “Terms & Conditions” in very small print at the bottom of the website. Unfortunately, she did not click on this link before ordering.

The linked Terms and Conditions are 8 pages long and very detailed. Within this contract, there is a cost listed of $89.95 for the trial product if you do not contact New Age by phone within 14 days of your trial order to cancel. Further, they will charge your credit card for this simply by not calling them within the 14 days to tell them you are cancelling. Note that you had to search the website for this charge and conditions of the charge, as it was not prominently displayed, a buyer could not readily see these costs!! This is a rip-off! In our case, we were charged $89.95 and $86.95 (a total of $176.90) for the 2 one ounce trial samples, with the charges appearing on our credit card exactly 14 days from the trial order date.

We contacted New Age Customer Service within 21 days of the order date, and were told that there is nothing that they can do for us to provide a full credit of $176.90, but they did offer a nominal amount of credit. New Age told us that we should have read the Packing Slip that came with each trial, where it noted that we should call to cancel with 14 days of the trial period, or we would be charged for the product. No product cost (either the $89.95 or $86.95), however, was listed on the packing slip!

I informed the customer service representative that I was not going to pay the $176.90 in charges, offered to return the samples to them, and had already filed disputed charge notices with my credit card company. He told me that New Age wins 88% of these disputed charge cases, that 77% of customers call back within the 14 day trial period to cancel, and that we should have read and followed the contract. New Age did not want the product returned to them. He seemed well versed in this topic of justifying his company’s outrageous charges and deceptive business practices, but not very good at keeping customers. New Age appears to take advantage of customers on a one-time basis through deceptive advertising and trickery, and not concerned with keeping customers on a recurring basis.

Based on this experience, my advice to anyone considering purchasing New Age skin products is to purchase them elsewhere—do not purchase them from New Age Skin Care located on Siesta Lane in Tempe, AZ, or from their website listed above!!

Scam

I was also scammed and I would like either to get the bottles I paid for or the money back since I have not received the items that I paid for except the very small so-called free bottles.
