I would like to talk about a company so called NETWERKX in work platforms and when you look into their web site (www.netwerkx.com), the main page shows only Phone number & Email. Someone can easily tell that Netwerkx (solo) company is one man (Rodney Powell) show. There is a lady named Jamie Bedsole (Bookkeeper) assigned me a job in Work Market and she advised me that job can be done in one day. They lied about this project period and cheated on my payment.
After a long conversation, Rodney Powell admits the fact that a tech take 3.5 hours to complete one cart. Why did he lie about the project period in this work order and priced as flat fee to make big bucks out of it.
In the history of school environment, I never worked in a lunch room/music hall with 200 kids bumping me around for 2 hours and causing delay in my project work. I did talk to the site contact and asked him if there was a less disruptive place where I could perform this work.
He showed a list of carts available in this school and advised me that the next cart would be in Library, and I could perform well than this place.
After going through hard time in this site. I have dismantled one cart with 6 loading trays and 79 screws (B2B). Then I removed 24 old dongles and replaced with 24 new dongles. The site contact complained on one door and informed me that he had 2 extra screws to be used in this cart. I fixed it and the door stopped falling off of this unit. Before I left this site, the Craig Holden (Site Contact) firmly tested this door and it worked fine. I have successfully completed one cart and this unit is ready for Laptop charging /security.
I had a sign-off sheet before leaving the site and I thought that I would be continuing this work next day. I didnt abandon this project, and I was negotiating the flat fee as per real estimated time given by Dell Cart Integration Department.
I didnt refuse to return to site for the second day of work as agreed and Jamie Bedsole advised me that she couldnt add more funds on this project. Then I politely informed her that if you dont increase this flat fee, I cant continue an assignment for $650 (21 hours for cart and 2 hours for fans & door fixing), because I work on an hourly rate $90/Hr.
I didnt threaten to take action against his customer. I said that I would go to the site and get a signature from site contact, and take some pictures what I did work on that particular day.
Jamie Bedsole threatened me a note in Work Market:
*** I am not willing to accept your terms and will not expect you to return to this site tomorrow. I am sorry things did not work out as far as a relationship between my company and yours. Thank you for your understanding. I will make sure to remove you from our network and not send any further assignments***
I have heard from a reliable source that Netwerkx got a lump sum $3000 for 6 carts ($500/Cart) for the project and they wanted to pay me maximum of $650. Beware of this company and they have no right to talk about Professionalism.
After I found real estimated time on this project, I politely advised them to add additional funds $400 for extra 8 hours (Initial price was $600 for 12 hours). Then we had a long conversation on this payment, and suddenly Rodney Powell cancelled this assignment in Work Market and adjusted the payment to $50 for 5 hours spent on a cart. He also made remarks on this assignment ABANDONED.
Rodney Powell is willing to pay me $10 per hour for 5 hours spent on this assignment. I have a feeling that he might have worked in McDonalds recently and advising me to take the same pay rate. If he is an IT professional, please advise him to increase the pay rate on this job. Otherwise, I assume that he comes from cheap
Rodney Powell Lied Statement in Work Market: This is at maximum a 2 day assignment based on 6 hours per day. Flat Fee $600.
Dell Cart Integration Department Estimated Time: 21 hours for 6 carts and 2 hours for fans & doors fixing. Estimated Flat Fee: $1150.
