Since Hasler has been bought out by Neopost, our billing services have been horrid. There are multiple invoice issues:
#1 - Invoices are mailed out at infrequent intervals - some are received just a few days before the due date.
#2 - If you mail a payment 2 weeks ahead of the due date, it gets posted within 3-5 days. Mail the check 5 days before the due date, it mysteriously gets 'lost' until 1-3 days after the due date.
#3 - Some invoices don't get mailed (therefore, not received and not paid). This was our March 2015 billing issue.
#4 - Only one late fee and finance charge can be removed in a year, regardless of the issue surrounding the late payment posted.
#5 - Dec 2014 payment was posted to our Neopost account a week after it cleared the bank. The January statement showed more late fees and finance charges since the payment wasn't posted in time.
#6 - June 2015 payment mailed 6/9/2015 for the 6/16/2015 due date. July 2015 statement shows closing date of 6/18/2015 with $29 late fee and $7.40 finance charge. Online shows payment posted 6/19/2015 and the check clearing the bank 6/22.
#7 - Their website stinks. It isn't easy to find out where you need to go to make a payment.
Everything associated with our account has been much worse since Neopost took over our Hasler account. It seems that all they want to do is make more money by assigning late fees and finance charges.
Avoid Neopost at all costs. Once this contract is expired, we're definintely finding someone else. I don't care if it costs more. Neopost isn't worth all this frustration.
DO NOT - whatever you do - sign up for postage meter service from this company. I have been trying to get away from them for 5 plus YEARS!!! It is always such a hassle, and time consuming ridiculous situation, I just give up. It is just easier to keep paying the bill. Isn't that pathetic?? Have been in business for over 30 years and have NEVER dealt with a company like this in my life. Was finally told by someone there that felt sorry for me (that of course couldn't help me) to "just tell them you are going out of business. That is the only way you will get this taken care of." Seriously, unbelievable. Now, for probably the 20th time in five plus years, I've been on hold for over 40 minutes. First, there is no selection on the recording for cancellation, and it you hit zero for an operator you are disconnected. So, you call back again and when you just hit a random number for new service, you get a quick pick up. However, as soon as you tell them you are calling to cancel you are put on hold and usually at the 40 minute mark I GIVE UP AGAIN. Today, I waited it out and of course, that department is "in a special meeting today" and cannot help me. Seriously people, if you need postage meter service, and don't want to be buried with it in your grave in your cold dead hands, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Neopost is huge faceless postal company based out Connecticut. They sell postage meters, postage, and in office postal supplies. They have the single worst corporate culture of any company I have ever dealt with in my life. I turn 50 this year. Please do not use their services or their products. Neopost is impossible to get in touch with, and then once you are in touch with them, they go out of thier way to be unhelpful and so polite they are rude (think Eddy Haskel). I admit they may be correct about the terms of their lease, but do they have to rub my nose in it. There is simply no reason for any company to act as cut throat and inhuman as this company does. Buyer beware, this company is ugly to the bone, and if you have any kind of problem, the answer from them will be "tough luck read the contract". I told the good people at Neopost I would be posting negative reviews of them on the internet and they just laughed at me. Do yourself a favor and choose a company that is at the very minimum polite.
