Nationwide REO Services which is owned by Vantage Management Systems hired our company to complete yard maintenance on foreclosed properties they managed. We completed approximately 20 jobs before any of these started to show up within their invoicing system. I was very upset to learn they were only paying us $20 per property no matter what the size or height of the grass.
Before anyone tells me I should have reviewed their pricing structure beforehand - I did. It said that they paid between $20-$40. So I thought this meant $20 for the smaller properties and $40 for the larger ones, which seemed to be the bulk of our work. It was explained to me by Beatrice that $20 across the board was standard for this industry. I'm guessing she wasn't aware that this wasn't my first rodeo. I politely let her know that this wasn't true as we had completed the exact same work for other companies, but earned 3-4 times as much as this. I never heard from her again.
Not only did we never hear from any of them again, they decided to only pay us their standard $20 fee for almost every job completed. One of the jobs was over 10,000 square feet and the grass was 14 inches high, so before starting, I called them for prior approval of a $60 fee, they agreed and said to email them so I could have this in writing, which I did. Kim emailed me back telling me it was approved. There was also another 5 properties they agreed to in writing that they would pay $30 apiece for this one time.
I realize that this is only a little over $100 that we weren't paid, but we're a small struggling company that needs every penny it earns. If a company agrees to pay you a certain amount for services performed, they should honor this agreement. We worked hard for this money and deserved to paid.
The provide their Clients and Vendors an ability to use ezinspections.com to make money through them at Nationwide REO Services. The claim to provide Contractors work by providing REO default evaluation, inspection, repairs, preservation, property management, listing and sales, loss mitigation, hazard claims processing and documentation.
I would be considered a vendor but all their fees are extremely low and they are keeping majority of the money for themselves and only paying their Contractors pennies for all their hard work, sweat and tears! they do not offer a competitive salary and/or fees to their contractors! I refuse to only be paid pennies when I have made $1,250.00 and from 2000 through 2003 working with a Realtor that provide REO and BPO services. I refuse to believe that they aren't getting more on items from their Clients but, they want to pay the Vendors pennies for all their work. The Vendors are the ones providing all the pictures, inspections and doing all the work but, are NOT getting paid for all their time, work and/or energy! All the people at Nationwide REO Services just sit on their butts making phone calls and ripping off their Vendors by stuffing their pockets standing on their Vendors backs. I would say that is truly unbelievable that they have gotten away with this since 2011! I refuse to pad their pockets providing my Excellent services and hard work just to receive pennies.
