I moved into Gateway Lakes Apartments (located in Grove City, OH 43123) in March 2014 and have had to deal with ridiculous bills from Nationwide Energy Partners (NEP). My first months Electric Bill with just 12 days of the billing period (as I moved in in the middle of the month) was $197.49 and since then its raised up to $300 a month!
I live in a small two bedroom apartment ALONE. I spend the majority of my time at work, working overtime and sleeping.. so why my electric bill is now $300 this month, Im absolutely astounded! My brother also lives in this same apartment complex and is dealing with the same exact absurd amounts every single month. We are at a lose on what to do, because its becoming very difficult to get by every month paying so much for electric thats barely being used.
Households who have multiple people living in them are paying much less. Everyone I know and have talked to are also baffled by how much I am having to pay every month. It seems very sketchy.
This apartment complex doesnt offer any other electric company and have heard several complaints about NEP from their residents, so I am beginning to wonder if they are getting something out of it by only allowing their residents this particular electric company. Something is not right about this and its time something is done.
