If you're reading this, I warn you... BEWARE of this company and all of its affiliates including owner ""JON S. KAHLKOPF,"" ""National Association of Judgment Recovery Professionals"" etc. The owner of ""National Association of Judgment Recovery Professionals"" at www.najrp.com Jon S. Kahlkopf engages in unprofessional and unethical business practices. I'm guessing he and his OTHER registered agent ""Jason Varnum"" are the only 2 members of this ""national association.""
I was reaching out to this place to assign a judgment for them to collect. I have an old judgment collecting dust that I had never collected on nor do I have the time to make effort on. This Kahlkopf guy called me and after speaking about my case, he proceeded to try to PROMOTE/SELL his LAME BOOK to me.. really?! I'm talking to you about my judgment case and you want to switch the subject and start talking about your BOOK and HOW TO BUY IT?!
He sent me this poorly drafted ""Agreement for Assignment"" in the BODY of the email with misspelling errors and typos AND he wanted me to sign off giving him exclusive right to my judgment.. blah blah legal jargon.. and for me to accept a $2 settlement from him?! Furthermore, he never explained his ""costs"" and only in the agreement did I read that he would take 50% of the collected amount LESS costs/expenses. That means he would deduct his ""costs/expenses"" and then take his 50% cut for the left over amount. Next thing you know.. I'm left with a $2 payout (sarcasm).
When I asked him to explain this.. he proceeded to tell me he was no longer interested in my case and further went on to talk about his book AGAIN. When I replied expressing my opinions about his unethical and unprofessional practices, he told me to stop contacting him or he'll call the police and file a civil suit against me. I wanted to laugh at this joke. Of course I refrained from emailing him back because this guy sounds like he's waiting to sue ANYONE for QUICK MONEY.
His website ""www.najrp.com"" is the site he uses for judgment collection, and if you read his company policy on this poorly structured webpage, it'll tell you investigation services will be conducted thought ""J & J Investigations, LLC"" in which HE (Jon S. Kahlkopf) is a registered agent for. I was right to trust my instincts about this guy and his company.. or should I say companies.
