On January 20, 2015 I placed an order with PrimeMail for my Insulin Perscription. That particular morning I was in distress because I had just learned that my stepfather was dying. In my haste to enter my new home address I transposed two numbers. I was out of town for 4 days while I sat in ICU with my stepfather. When I returned home I found that my perscription had not been delivered. I immediately went online to track it and found that it had been returned and received back at PrimeMail in Dallas. This is when I realized my mistake in the address.
I promptly called PrimeMail to tell them what happened and give them the correct shipping address. I was told that they could not and would not replace my insulin because the mistake was mine and not one of PrimeMail. I tried to explain that it was a simple mistake made due to high anxiety at the time. The gentleman whom I was talking with was kind and understood my problem but those above him would not allow him to send me my insulin unless I paid and additional $174. Mind you, I had already paid the $174 which they are now keeping and asking for an additional $174. Their only explanation of keeping my money and not providing me with my insulin is that they had destroyed the insulin when it was returned to them, which is ridiculous since this order was mailed in JANUARY and Lantus Insulin can be stored at room temperature!!
This company has no compassion or sense of customer service. I am quite sure that they did not pay the pharmacuetical company the amount of money they are charging me for a drug that I MUST HAVE to stay alive. They do not care that I now have no insulin. I am appalled at the way this company operates. The fact that they have my $174 and refuse to give me the product that I have paid for is insane.
