On January 23, 2014 I purchased a 12 month subscription of the company's anti-virus software for about $40.00. I did not immediately activate it for I had to dash somewhere that day. I deliberately was not in a hurry because in 2013 I had another anti-virus subscription which was supposed to expire in early 2014. A couple of weeks later I called their off-shore people to activate the program, and they failed. He did put through all the rigmarole of sharing my screen remotely and he went into my hard drive and was talking big about how he could help me make my computer work better. After two hours he told me he could not activate the software but that I needed to call the 855-5432-0727 customer service support number. I could not get to speak to these people until today because being on the East Coast I work late and by the time I finish work they will have closed. Today, I finally got through and as usual I went through 6 or seven people after which I requested to speak the manager. A woman called Tamara was put to me and I discussed the issues with her. I told her the software had not been activated because their technicians had failed to do so. I also explained that I could not call them any time earlier because of my pressing workload. She told me software will not work, and that instead of being a 12 month subscription I should have purchased a six month subscription which might work. I asked for a refund and she said they could not do it since they only allow 90 day refunds. Meanwhile the program will not work.
This company is a scam. I just recognized that they settled a class action law suit for similar infractions with the federal government recently . But, they are definitely unrepetentant.
