If the teacher is late tough cookies for the family - we are instructed to say that there was a ""traffic hiccup"". But if the students or parents are late you still gotta pay - and pay you shall.
The instructors aren't allowed to know how much the company charges the parent and the ""school"" pays different teaches different rates.
Music School To Go maintains some absurd 48 hour cancellation policy that only works if you actually speak to Michelle or Jason - if you leave a message or e-mail and they ""forgot"" to check their voice-mail or e-mail you are out of luck and still have to pay for a lesson you or your child didn't get... This is always fun when you show up after a missed lesson and the parents are harassing your for a charge when then let both the instructor and school know in advance. As a teacher all I could say was call Jason or Michelle and the parents usually did... But why would Michelle or Jason give up $65 that they just made for doing nothing??? That's a pretty good business model. So Michelle & Jason maintain that they received no such communication and will still have to charge even though there is an e-mail in their inbox they didn't check and a voicemail on their phone thay they also didn't check. I believe their refusal to check it boasts higher profits for themselves so forget everybody else.
