Please watch out for this company they strong armed me into paying 3500 before she would give me any information. Then I thought I was getting one attorney and they forced me to use another one with no experience. Once I realized i wasn’t able to choose my attorney I asked for a refund same day about an hour later and they been avoiding my calls and just giving me the run around. This is complete insanity I haven’t used their firm haven’t met an attorney and once I realized they decieved me I asked for a refund now I’m dealing with stopping payment on my cc and filing complaints. This company definitely is a scam.

Our son was charged with a capital offense in the state of Florida - Lee County, in April/May of 2007. We are residents of Georgia and knew no one in Lee County, Florida to give us a referral to an attorney. We wanted the best defense for our son because this offense by Florida statutes, if found guilty, was life in prison with no parole. We searched the internet and found Musca Law with their main office being in Naples, Florida. At that time the firm did have privileges to practice in Lee County Circuit Court. We made the call and spoke with John Musca, managing partner for Musca Law. We had a 3-way call with our son, four parents and John Musca. He sold himself to us in that he would aggressively represent this case in that he would leave no stone unturned. In other words, he would "get our son off no matter what it took". He gave us a flat fee price of $50,000. This would include start to finish, but additional fees of depositions, court reporting fees would be separate. We felt this would be worth it to keep our son out of prison for life. We signed the contract and paid the fee. John Musca led us to believe HE would be defending the case. Well, he turned it over to his partner that was on probation with the Florida Bar. The end results today are that HE DID NOT DO WHAT HE PROMISED. He took our money, did not aggressively fight this case and our son was forced to take a plea bargain in the end. We could have saved $50,000 and got a public defender if this is what it was going to come to. We owed $5,000 before trial but he threatened that if we didn't pay $10,000 he would march to the judge and drop the case after we had already paid him $45,000 (over 90%). He stated that he would refund the additional $5000 (that was not in the contract) if the case never went to trial. As stated above, it never went to trial. He has been sent a letter requesting the $5000 to be refunded, minus court reporting fees, which totals $3637.34. I have yet to have a response. Yes, he and his partner are heartless. They claim they care about their clients but all they want is their money and then they string you along. THEY ARE CROOKS. He cost us four parents everything we own, because we believed in him and he RIPPED US OFF. Now our son has to pay for their mistakes.

WE were ripped off by John Musca Law Firm. They took 15,000 from us and did nothing for over a year of stretching out the case with nothing but continuances and then withdrew from the case 4 wks before trial. They asked for another 1000 first on a friday and then withdrew the following Monday. Don't believe those made up testimonials on their website . They are liars, but firstly thiefs. They should be audited to see what they are doing to clients. If there is a class action suit, notify us as we have lots to say about this ripoff firm. They have devastated our family and left us hanging. My son is facing 20 to life in prison and they only wanted our money. They also interferred with our family law divorce case. Please help if you can in joining me to go after these scumbags. I will be reporting them to BBB, the bar assoication and anywhere else they are signed in at or are going to advertise, Word of mouth is even better as we do have facebook, twitter, and lots of social media to get the word out, so join me.

For the first time I need legal advice from an attorney and came across the great marketing from Musca Law. I called the number and was transfered to attorney Harley Brook. Harley was nice and informative for the free consultation and I went ahead and retained him for $2,500. Once, payment was made my information was given to an associate within my area. So, it appears Harley is not my attorney. That is ok... However, it has been 5 days and my attorney has not returned my e-mails (because a phone number was not provided) and this company has not performed any services.
Do yourself a favor and only contact a law office that is local and has an attorney(s) onsight. If you retain and attorney and cannot get a response and/or be able to expalin to your actual attorney the situation you are in within 72 hours.... it is probably time to seek another attorney.

He assigned an attorney Casey Bryant.
This is not a lawyer, he is a joke who did nothing fomenu family. I should have gotten a legal aid. They took the money and did nothing!
Bryant never called to explain anything, it was likp pulling teeth with him.

I thought John Musca was true to his word too. I wrote 2 checks to him and him only! he kept turning my case over to other attorneys that I NEVER met. there were 2 of them. One was mentioned that he was on probation. I think I know which one it was!! never once did John show up in court for a sum of $10,000 I paid to HIM and HIM only to represent me I received the worst out come possible!. I would have better off representing myself! He admitted he handled my case improperly! he is a bad and dishonest crook!
