Do not buy a car here. These people originally said that my tags would be $250 on my contract. One month later they changed it stating that because they were "out of state" tags they were more expensive Which they knew they were from the beginning) then tried to charge me $800 for tags and i told the lady that i would not be able to pay until friday I was still going to pay so that nothing happened) and they had some shady towing company take my car from my job to saint cloud on thursday after i already made a payment arrangement for the next day. Do not buy a car here.
I bought a vehicle from MP Auto Trading in October. I payed in full, in cash. I was given a temporary plate. I was told my metal plate would be in the mail. I waited until my temporary plate was expired. The metal plate never came. I went to the car lot in Orlando after I was told my plate was there, in the ladies hands. I drove all the way from West Palm Beach to pick it up, it was nearly a 5 hour drive. When I got there, I was told that their staff never got me to sign the title, so they couldn't get me a metal plate. They had me sign the title, and gave me another temporary plate. This was in January. I was scheduled to move from Florida to North Carolina, and gave them my new address to send the plate. I moved. I waited for my plate. It never came. I called MP Auto Trading the day before the plate expired. This is now the end of February. They told me that they were on their way to the DMV now and that they would call me back with some answers. I waited for their call. No one called me back. I waited 6 days and called them back again. They once again told me that try would call me back. They called back a few hours later and told me I had to pay them more money. They were very rude to me on the phone. I explained to the lady that I was told everything was paid for and that my plate would be in the mail. She insisted that I give her more than $300 to get my metal plate at this point still. I went on to explain to the woman that I was told it was already being sent. I refuse to pay $300 more after being told it was on the way. If that was the case, they should have told me "this is a temporary plate and I will have to give them more money before I get my metal plate", but they did not say anything of the sort. Now, I have a car with an expired tag, and still have no title to the vehicle. I can't get to work because my tag is expired, and I can't pay them more money for a tag because I can't get to work. The company is not giving me any solution to the problem they have created for me. Only telling me to give them more money. If you purchase a vehicle from this business, I recommend getting your own plate, and NOT entrusting them to this responsibility. They are CLEARLY incompetent, and dishonest. SCAM.
