Company showed up over 1 hour late. Owner even called saying they are on their way and it took an hour after that. Having two men show up that looked like they were released from a drug rehab i had no choice since i had to move that day. One driver used my bathroom for 20 min at one house then 30 min at new. Finding a bloody qtip in my toilet was not only gross but difinatly something that made me even more done with this. Other driver was going through cds on the back of the truck which i dont own...i was constantly asking where things where and having them stay moving. They broke my neighbors light and didnt say anything along as lost an antique birdcage. The move was double the quote and now refuse to file a claim. NEVER USE THISCOMPANY
Hired this moving company for a 3.8 mile move for only the large furniture (about 36 peices). No boxes, no clothes no garage items ( one small rolling three drawer tool cabinet). Moved from a two bedroom home. They wer supposed to be at our home that we were moving from by 8 am. The night before the move they called and left a mesage stating that the crew had a very long and hard day and they would be running late in the morning and would not be at our home until 10 am. This was Friday October 31st of 2014. They asked us to call them at 7:30 in the morning. We called at 7:30 am on the 31st of October. John, spoke to us and said that since they were running late and they really wanted to get our job done in the shortest amount of time that they had a opportunity for us.
We could have 4 men instead of the two we had contracted for for $75 per hour and they would give us 4 men all good movers for $130 per hour and would also be bringing a tractor trailer so they wouldn't have to stack any of our furniture and therefore this should take less time.
This is the orning of our move. The time has been pushed out and we need to be out of our home that night. We really ahdn't nudgeted for $130 per hour but, asked this man John is he could assure us that the movers would in fact be well versed in moving and not off a corner somewhere and did he guarantee that our move would be done fatser. Of course he said absolutely! They showed up at our house at 10 am. John, who told us he was only the truck driver came in and had us sign a new contract showing the new rate for the extra two movers and the tractor trailer.
The horror began. These people had no idea how to move. ALso they brought only three rolls of tape and used our 5 rolls we had. They brought no tools to take the beds down. So my husband had to suppply them with toools. They would start on a peice of funriture and then someone would yell for hlep and that peice was forgotten. Then theyy would dissapear and nothing was being taken to the truck. My husband would fine them taking a break in the trailer. This went on for four hours. My husband and I were constanly having to tell them they needed to get moving. This seemed to ust slow them down. John, th truck driver came in during this mess and we asked why these movers weren't moving. He'd tell us that they were sweating and that he was just the truck driver and had nothing to do with how fast they worked. The team leader rubin was not very effective either. Now we see that this was all part of the master plan.
Take longer to move and the bill just keeps going higher. The not having tools and tape worked into that plan as well. Finally after 4 hours they had the truck loaded. We were moving 3.8 miles away. Ten minutes at the most. John followed us and we actually had to stop and wait for the truck to catch up to us and it took over 20 minutes to get to the new house. The unloading went much the same. Things just didn't get done in a timely manner. Fiannly they finished. The bill came to over $1100. This included a one hour travel charge, a surcharge tax of $146.25. They had our credit card and we were horrified at the amount. We could do nothing as they were going to charge our card for what they wanted. SO a move that should have cost less than $600 cost over $1100. Then a coupe of weeks later we noticed that our 5 foot grill island had the bottom busted out and they had pushed all the board into the interior of the island so that we couldn't see it was broken.
They also had broken the travertine around the back bottom corner and had taped it back on. So they knew they had busted our island grill up and tried to hide it. On Novembeer 13th I filed a claim to their email address as they requested for the damage on our Island grill. They asked for pictures, we sent them. After a week we called and they had done nothing and again blamed it on Carl. Then they asked for the weight of the island. We told them it was 340 pounds. They didn't like that number even though they only pay 60 cents a pund for damage. This island grill was a custom $2000 grill. Then they asked to manufacturer information with weight. We contacted the merchant we bought it from ( our original place had closed but another opened up). They sent me all the information and it turns out the grill weighed 390 pounds.
This we emailed to Move For Less. Again we gave them a few days. We emailed again with no response. Then I called and they procceded to call the manufacturer and Move for Less tred to tell us the manufacturer didn't make these anymore. Not true this was a custom job and that's all they do! John said they didn't have the pictures anymore and could I resend. He also said after talking to the merchant that they would get the board used for the bottom and that Move For Less would be out to fix it. John from Move For Less then asked to the measurement of the bottom that was busted out. We did all that was asked and sent it all to them in yet another email. The last communication we had with Move For Less was December 16th when John said they would be out to fix the damage. Today is January the 1st and guess what? We still have not heard from Move For Less. Watch out Arizona! Check out your movers!
