We contracted with Morse Moving & Storage (Allied Van Lines) to move our belongings from Benton, AR to Parker, CO. Morse was not the cheapest quote or the highest.
Morse made the decision to use the weights provided by United and Mayflower's quotes instead of coming to the house / storage units and taking their own inventory. Unfortunately both United and Mayflower's quotations were underweight.
The truck arrived two days early and asked if they could start loading. We agreed. After loading our storage units, they found they could not load everything from our home. That was our first mistake. We should have insisted they unload everything and we would wait for a truck that had ample room.
The first truck made contact with Morse and arrangements were made for the remainder to be picked up the next day. We were assured by the drivers of the first truck that our belongings would arrive within the same time frame listed on our guaranteed price pledge.
We are almost thirty days after the second load was picked up and still no delivery. Because we did not know our belongings were going to be divided, we were not able to load appropriately. Therefore we have an ironing board but no iron, a computer but no keyboard or mouse, shirts but no pants, beds but no bedding, etc., etc., etc..In addition, medical supplies and our household financial records are on this second truck.
When I called and spoke with Joseph Browser (the man who sold Morse to us), the bottom line was tough luck. We should be so lucky to get our items in two weeks. They could keep our belongings as long as they want to keep them -- they would get here when they get here.
I am doing everything I can to be a squeaky wheel but there has been no movement. Multiple pick-up and delivery dates have been promised and missed.
We have used Uxxxxx and Mxxxxxxxx in the past and this has NEVER happened. I would NEVER use Morse OR Allied ever again. I would recommend anyone reading this report to STEER CLEAR.
