Had a bamboo flooring install done through the Homes Services Store, Installation Dept. for Lumber Liquidators. Frank Garcia with Monticello Investments did the bamboo install through Lumber Liquidators in Orlando, FL
Complaint is not about install itself - bambo was installed properly. Install was 2 days when it should have been one day.
Complaint is about the refund that Frank Garcia/Monticello Investments - through Lumber Liquidators in Orlando FL - owes for product that was brought back to the store that was NOT refunded to customer, but refunded to Frank Garcia. The amount in question is $182.00.
At the end of the install, Monticello investments loaded up their truck with boxes of unused bamboo and unused 8 ft. baseboard. The baseboard was NOT originally a part of the product order, however, due to changes in the install process, it was decided by Monticello that baseboards would be better than quarter round. Agreed to this - Frank Garcia said he would get the baseboards and bring it the next day. He did not. He called the next day to say that he could not find anything that would match what we had, but had something else that was "close" and would not cost much more.
We offered to get the boards from Lowes since it was close, but he said he would bring it that day. He did not. Instead, his workers stayed only until 3 pm (they came around 10 45 am that day to start the job) and did return the next day with the boards, but did not arrive until about 11 am the second day of install.
It was not until this time that I found out that the baseboards were much higher than Frnak said they woud be - the receipt that was handed to me was for $469.00, which was way more than I expected. Frank asked for a check that day, which I gave to him; he also asked me for an ADDITIONAL $250.00
bAMBOO WAS RETURNED AND REFUNDED - RETURNED QTR RD MYSELF FOR CREDIT - BASEBOARDS WERE NOT CREDITED TO MY account - Frank Garcia had the boards returned to his credit card AFTER he left the boards at his storage center for a week;he was to send me a check. Frank said he would send me a check for it last week - no check has been received - have called Lumber Liquidators - they say they can do nothing - Frank said he did mail it and it should be here. Feel that Lumber Liquidators is not taking care of the customer - have been in install dept at major retailed for years, and this is not how you treat the customer.
