Just like the other report written on this site, I too was taken in by smooth talking Rob. What a sleaze. He told me he could make 'anything' and when I gave him my desired dimensions for a fire table, he told me how cool it would be. Hustled me to pay in full right away "to lock in the price" and what a fool I was! Over 4 months, he told me how backed up he was, how he was running tight, how this and that. My unit would be done soon...
After holidays, I told him I needed the unit already. He charged me for shipping. Yeah! Thought it was finally going to arrive. I actually believed him, that is how smooth of an operator he is! wow. He sent me pictures of the color of stackstone that he said was for MY unit.
One day, as I sat frustrated by my door waiting for something to show up, I called and asked again, when will it get here? This time, the slippery, smooth operator was gone. Rob was almost yellling at me telling me that what I was asking for was impossible to build and there was no way to manufacture it. Knowing it is pointless to argue with someone that was not in his right mind (read between the lines), I said ok.
Within the next few hours I filed Fraudulent Claims charges with all three sources of payment (Mastercard, Google Wallet, and Paypal). They all reviewed the case and awarded me back my monies.
Long story short, he did not get my money. But I wasted four months on him. Best part - my husband and I built our own firepit to our exact dimensions and it is absolutely spectacular and perfect!
After placing an order for a cusom slab of concrete and agreeing on a price and paying for it up front using paypal. I waited 8 weeks . Every excuses in the book and when it finally came time to deliver . He starts avoiding phone calls and would never allow me to pick it up,saying he wa out of town, etc etc.
After a week more of this we finally spoke and agreed that its best we just forget about it, and he would refund the money using payal refund process.
so after filing a claim with Paypal and becuase too much time too place between the order being placed and my claim paypal wouldnt process the claim.
Calling back to Rob he said would just pay me through paypal, so I sent him an invoice..
Now after 3 more weeks of delays no response, no return phone calls no refund. I am at a loss . guess its time for small claims, not something I really want to do but I guess there are more thiefs out there than I realized.
