Purchased a vehicle almost 1 year ago and paid over $2,000 for a top warranty policy with Millenium Toyota only to find out once my car needed service months later, that the policy I paid for was never applied. My policy was in fact with a different warranty company I've never heard of, and at a low level that did not cover the work I needed done on my vehicle. Needless to say I've been forced to become very familiar with the customer service reps at Custom Edge Warranty Co. (the company Millenium Toyota placed me with without ever letting me know) and having to call John in Finance at Millenium on an almost daily basis to see if they can upgrade my policy. They continue to assure me that the upgrade will take place, and they continue to lie. It is now the beginning of July and this has been going on since March. I have not been able to drive my vehicle because I am worried to further cause any issues it already has. The staff at Millenium Toyota refuse to follow up with my issue and they always sound annoyed when speaking with me. I am not sure how to go about getting to the bottom of this problem, I am making monthly payments on a vehicle that I cannot use. This is unfair, and according to the friendly people at Custom Edge, the upgrade should've been easily taken care of long ago. I don't know what has been done with the good money I paid for my policy back in Aug. of 2013 or who's pocket it landed in but I do know I've been taken for a fool. I'm sure this is an issue I would have to take legal action with but I have No idea how or where to begin. Aside from this issue I have several receipts from that day I purchased the vehicle- all of which you can find all sorts of different prices and fees. A word of advice to anyone thinking of coming here to purchase a vehicle: firstly Do Not !!!! And if you must, take your time- do not allow them to rush you as they did with me and have you sign documents with numbers that you do not understand. Be sure all your pricing and fees are consistent throughout the documents and make a list of what you are paying for and what your total should be. I paid for much more than I was told and walked out of there with an expensive imaginary warranty policy. It is known fact that dealerships are full of sneaky snakes but Millenium Toyota of Hempstead is of the Worst!!
