I was contacted by MidWest Stress for the order. When I was on the phone talking to her, I cancelled because I was going out of town. THE VERY PHONE CALL I cancelled!! I received the package which I wrote return to sender. It arrived again and I took it to the PO to make sure it was received. Now I am receiving letters from this collection company (SKO Brenner American, Inc) wanting $69.95. I have called and talked to both companies several times. I have also e-mailed Midwest Stress and sent letters. What else can I do?

I used my card but when I received the bill and found out they charged me even though I cancelled, I called the company and cancelled my card.
In the early morning hours of Oct. 25, 2014 I could not sleep because I was worried about my teenage daughter who was struggling with severe anxiety and so I went downstairs and turned on the TV. As luck would have it, I came across what I first thought was a special medical program on anxiety. But I was wrong. It was in fact a very slick infomercial crafted by the sharks at The Midwest Center for Stress And Anxiety. I was their perfect target and I fell for their bait - a free CD offering valuable information on anxiety and on how this "wonderful" woman named Lucinda Basset, the founder of the center, has helped thousands of people who could find no relief from this hellish condition.
Like a sucker, I called the toll free number and that was one of thge bisggest mistakes of my life. All I wanted was the free CD, but the rep. kept saying to get the CD Ihe would also have to send me all this extra stuff including vitams that were never mentioned on TV and that I was very clear I had zero interest in. I felt a little like I was living in the Twiglight Zone. I would say " look, all I want is the free CD." And he would say: "I understand. And I'm going to send you the free CD. But I'm also going to send...and then he would rattle off a bunch of stuff I had no interest in. I finally told him I was going to hang up when he closed me really hard - "look he said, you have ZERO risk. You have 14 days to try the program. Then if you don't like it, you can just send it back. It is simple and risk free."
Beaten down and tired - I had been on the phone for over 20 minutes with this guy. I agreed. On Nov 4th the pacakages showed up at my front door. On Nov 15, a Saturday, I called the only number included for a return and was surprised to find out that although one can order 24/7 - 3336 days of the year. Returns are limited to Mon-Fri and certain hours. So I called first thing on Monday morning the 17th. To my total surprise the CR told me "sorry" your 14 days is over you are too late. I told her she was crazy. We went round and round. It sems that the shipper dropped my pacakge off at the wrong address on NOV 1st were it sat until the 4th when I got it. Even still I was within the 14 days. But this is the companies M.O. I don't think anyone actually gets to return the package. The whole "14 days" is a scam. And the $14.95 in shipping charges on agress to immediately then turn into over $550 that the company says you owe them.
I have tried on numerous occasions to call them and work this out logically because it is truly insane. But the CR's refuse to transfer calls. The phone numbers of anyone of improtance within the comapny are not published. And they do not even accept letters of complaint by email.
Please, please please. if you see an ad for The Midwestern Center For Stress & Anxiety - run the other way. Are the tapes oor other iteams they shipped any good - I have no idea - I have never opened the pacakages. But I can tell you the ads of TV and their marketing practices from my perceptive are deceptive and downright evil. They are lower then low.
