I rented a property from Michael Robinson (Paramount Holdings) and I had no idea all these things about him . I started renting in June 2011. Everything was fine, until it wasn't. The house needed TLC and it didn't get any. Anyways, starting in November 2012, the furnace went out on the first snow of the season and it was bad. Feet of snow, he did not have it replace for 3 days. Then when the furnace man came he informed me that burned natural gas had been leaking into the house because the duct was only being maintained by dut tape WTF!!! No wonder my son and I had constant headaches, that resolved once the new furnace was installed. So after that the main water in the basement backed up and the basement was full of feces and sewer. At this point he refused to return my emails or calls, so I had no choice but to pay for a plumber (which I deducted from the rent). This is now December, no contact despite numerous calls, emails, letters mailed to Hawaii even. Then in May, when I am on vacation in Oregon, I get a call that some real estate agent showed up to show the house because he listed it for sale (foreclosure) and told the realtor I moved out. So I am out of state and have real estate agents showing up harrassing my house-sitter. I get back, contact the realtor, the explain the entire situation and I can chose to buy the property or continue to rent it until it sells. I didn't even have time to decide and then another man comes out of the wood works. I am an RN, working 16 hour shifts at the time and this man shows up at 10 pm telling my children and room mate that he bought the house at tax auction and I better pay him $1300 or get out now. OH HELL NO!!!! Too bad for them I'm not an idiot. After several telephone conversations in which this man is pushy, intrusive, intimidating, and demanding I find out he is a registered sex offender and has been going to my house at night when I am at work and confronting my then 18 year old daugher, my room mate and her 14 year old daughter. His name is Richard Jones, goes by Dick Jones (go figure). Now I am a 6ft tall, very assertive woman, so I was ready for this. When I met this man I was informed that he had contacted Michael Robinson, Michael told them (this man and his partners) that I had not paid him rent since September. WTF!!! He is a liar. If I didn't pay my rent why didn't he evict me? He just wanted someone to pay his tax lien for him. What's worse this "company" that said they bought the tax lien, threatening to move the molestor's son in because now they owned it. The harrassment was ridiculous. I ended up moving in July 2013, but if you look up parcel 22022060100000000 in Salt Lake County you can see that he is still the owner and still owes delinquent taxes (no one bought his tax debt). So thanks Micahael Robinson for sending a sex offender to my house to harrass the young girls living there. Your molestor friend didn't think it was so funny to meet me though. I'm not easily intimidated, and he did not push me around. I am glad that I am not in that situation anymore, but is also disurbing what people are allowed to get away with and manipulate the law.
