Metropolitan Interpreters and Translators Inc. Reviews
Jun 25, 2014
Metropolitan Interpreters won the northeastern region under a 5 year DEA contract. They award was based on local assignments and the contractor is not to bill for TDY expenses. In turn; Metro short-changes the linguist, monitor, translator on the per diem. How nice to win a contract and pass the discount on to the government on the backs of the employees.
Also; there is a monopoly on the labor force. God forbid the linguist takes on an assignment with another contractor and is not available to Metro. The company applies "redlining a monitor". Marcos himself has directed supervisors to cross off linguists and not to hire ex employees who ever dared rise up and secure a contract for themselves.
They get away with this as long as translators allow them to. Do not be oppressed, do not be the victim. have some dignity and demand what is righfully yours; fair compensation, fair treatment and dignity.
