Jon Allen's lack of leadership and outright arrogance towards his co-workers and direct reports is worn as a badge of pride.
His mentor must have taught him that it's ok to act rudely and bully potential vendors/business partners as well as co-workers to get what he wants. Zero sense of propriety and progressive leadership skills. Imagine having a meeting where a person in a Director level position talks over, criticizes and condescends towards a very successful vendor (which Jon was not aware of because he thinks he knows everything). It is very embarrassing for Jon and the organization as a whole to have him be the face of his particular area.
Imagine having a 'leader' who takes all of the credit for himself and never shares it with his direct reports. They will tell you that it is an insult and how intensely they dislike working for him.
He is a 'good friend' of another CHP 'director'; all in all, there are about 4 folks who came from the same geographic location and nepotism abounds. The only way that such arrogance (with Jon) and incompetence (in his friend's area) can survive, is protection from friends in higher positions. Mercy Health should be ashamed.
Hint: If no one can work with a person, it doesn't matter how much they know, they fail overall.
