Mens Edge Medical Center of Dallas Illegally Sells HCG For Weight Loss (Charlotte Burns, Owner) Likely Subject of Texas Multi-Agency Investigation
Selling HCG as an FDA approved product for weight loss is illegal. Quite simply, it will not work without proper diet, exercise, and health maintenance all of which is the real reason weight loss occurs. This group also tried to sell expensive Lipo-Ex procedures (Melting Fat Away), but it was also a scam for the same reasons. Fortunately, no-one was gullible enough to fall for it and Mens Edge Medical gave it up when the machine manufacturer would no longer let them keep the machine on loan without charge. This group (ownership/ management) has a scam mentality. There is more than enough evidence that the whole operation is built on scams. Mens Edge Medical is believed to be under investigation by multiple Federal and State agencies including The Texas Medical Board, The Texas Office of Attorney General, The Texas Governors office, The Texas Department of State Health Services, The United States Department of Health and Human Services (Responsible for enforcement of FDA rules and laws), and possibly others. According to Lajuana Crossland, Sr. Investigator with The Texas Medical Board, the TMB launched an investigation of Mens Edge Medical for widely expressed concerns as early as November 2012. The subject of these investigations have not been
disclosed and the status is unknown, but it is believed that these investigations are focused on some or all of the following violations and abuses:
Widespread Deception & Fraud
Improper use of unlicensed, unqualified, uncertified and untrained personnel
Reckless injury to customers
Lack of proper hygiene
Public Endangerment
Perjury in official proceedings
Falsifying medical and sales records
Improper record keeping
Illegally selling HCG as an FDA approved Weight loss product
False advertising: (http://www.bbb.org/dallas/business-reviews/health-and-medical-general/mens-edge-medical-center-in-dallas-tx-90115064) and Misrepresentation
Ms. Crossland and other TMB personnel have requested names of victims that have been harmed by Men Edge Medical, as well as, witnesses to assist in the investigation and needed legal action. If you or anyone you know has been injured or adversely affected by this group, you and they are urged to report this immediately to Ms. Crossland @ 936-294-0620 or Sabrina Johnston @ [email protected].
You may also file a personal, formal complaint with the TMB @: www.tmb.state.tx.us/consumers/complain/placecomp.php or The Consumer Complaint Hotline: Phone: 1-800-201-9353 (Toll-free in Texas only). For links to other state agencies responsible for public safety, refer to the end of this report.
It is feared by some in the North Texas greater community that the states extreme pro-business attitude has and will continue to result with many agencies and bureaucrats protecting this and other perpetrators at the expense of public safety, especially those agencies run by doctors who have a long-standing tradition of professional courtesy, all-the-while subjecting Texas Tax Payers to potentially unnecessary risk. Some citizens fear that these agencies will continuously enter into a never-ending string of quid-pro-quo agreements, that exchange meaningless cease-and-desist in return for needless forgive-and-forget. All of the people involved in the Mens Edge Medical enterprise are competent adults that should, and be reasonably expected, to know better, especially having some training and experience in the medical field. Concerned citizens believe that such agreements are not a viable solution in this case where there is a repeated pattern of deception and fraud.

Unfortunately and contrary to conventional wisdom, where commerce is involved, consumers cannot rely on
government to voluntarily protect us from perpetrators. Agencies are increasingly infiltrated by third-world mentalities which perpetuate and foster third-world business tactics. We must rely on self-protection and our untied voices to collectively rid our society of these scourges.
