Thanks for the prompt mail, i would have love to call you but due to my disability, i will not be able to do that. I live in Cumberland, RI. I will be paying you through PayPal but the payment will be made before the shipping company come for pick up at your location. I just need your address to get the actual pick up and delivery cost from the shipping company. Get back to me ASAP.
The above is a potion of numerous emails that MELINDA M. CALVERT/MOLLY MARY has sent to me over the past several days attempting to pourchast my 1994 Mercedes Benz S320 for $1500.00. She was to forward payment via Paypal for said auto. Client sends a ficticious email supposedly from PAYPAL stating payment has been received and placed into my account, but her is the best part, she sent an additional fee for ME to pay for the transportation of said auto. I called Paypal and NO FUNDS were in my account. I then receive an INVESTGATIVE email from PAYPAL that she have frozen my account and I'm under Federal Investigation for not paying for the auto carrier out of my own funds. I then sent email back to this Melinda person and received a call from a Richard Wilson demanding payment for the Carrier as it had been scheduled to pick up my auto. My questions was how can this be possible, when I NEVER forwarded my address to this person.
I then called PAYPAL after typing www.paypal into my browser and I was informed that NO FUNDS were in my account from this individual and I sent all emails from all parties involved to [email protected] and was advised that in-fact this is a SCAM and a phising scheme. I have also contact a relative that works for the FBI and he too, is looking into this ordeal as possible wire fraud.
I am livid at how these individuals use various tactics to try and force you to forward monies to them via Western Union. They really believe that some individuals are that stupid as to just send money to an unknown person jsut because they have a desire to purchase your goods.
I am letting the General Public to be on the look-out for such scams and if the hairs oin the back of your neck rise...stop and listen to your inner being. In most cases they will not lead you wrong.
