This time I got a car paying $375 & I've had it for like a month & two weeks, the car has a major oil leak & needs a new starter, I tried getting the car fixed but I have to make the payments to mega motors, they don't care that I have to get it fixed they just want they money, today I owe $100 that I couldn't pay but the belt broke on the car & it stopped, mega motors still does not care about what's wrong with the car they just want they money, something needs to happen because this is not good business.
I selected a 2000 Dodge Durango in February 2014 at the Mega Motors located at 1009 E. Jefferson Blvd in Dallas, TX (which is no longer open). On February 14, 2014, I had to get a new thermostat because my truck was running hot...ok, no problem (or so I thought). From March 1, 2014 to April 30, 2014 I have made the following repairs: replaced back passenger tire, replaced all 8 spark plugs, radiator hose (which snapped in half while driving in traffic and filled the truck with smoke), serpentine belt, oil pressure switch, belt tensioner and a power-steering unit.
My truck broke down on Arpil 4, 2014; it kept over-heating and would not start. I called to have the truck picked...which took 3 days. I called on Thursday to check on the status of my truck and was told the truck was not repairable and that I needed to come pick up my items out of the truck. I told them I would be there on Saturday after 5PM. I asked if I could choose another car/truck and just transfer my payments...I was told that I could. Well, on Saturday, I called again at the 9409 CF Hawn Frwy locatiion (repair center) to let them know I was coming to get my stuff, and was informed the truck was fixed. WTH?! So, I gave them my information and the kind of truck I had to make sure they were confusing me with another account. They verified my information and the correct truck. But here is the kicker....they kept giving me the wrong address to where my truck was, so I missed their closing time. So, I finally got the correct address and told them I would be there on Monday when they opened.
When I got there on Monday, I was told that I would need to pay $180.00 plus the $250.00 towing fee to get my truck out. I asked why, seeing how my next payment wasn't due until April 18th and that I was not informed about any towing fee. So, long story short....I didn't get my truck on Monday, had to wait til my payday, then they reduced the towing fee to $65.00, ran out the gas and windshield wiper fluid that was in my truck and could not produce ANY paperwork as to what work they did to fix the truck. I paid to get my truck out and went to 2 different auto places to run diagnostic check--both places said my engine was not fixed because there was a head gasket showing as being blown.
When I informed Mega Motors of this, because my truck is still over-heating to this current day of July 10, 2014....I asked if I could trade into another car/truck and use all the repairs I had done as a credit for the next vehicle, I was told no, because they needed $200.00 in cash as a transfer fee to put me into a different car/truck.
