Theres another scam i fell into stating they're from mcmills construction in ca. They posted hiring positions on indeed, i sent them my resume, helen cortez emails me back as a possible candidate and gives me instructions to attend a google chat with malcolm mallory [email protected] this person explains mcmills construction is expanding to njState i live in)and is hiring 16 people to help build the company business there. They give me the link to look up mcmills construction, i didn't use their link, i looked it up myself on google, and there's a valid website with ceo bio, history of the biz with pic of completed projects, looks legit! mallory explains what the job details are and if i'm interested i'm to complete an assessment, the assessment is typical questions about customer service, how i handle conflict and a bunch of other standard hr questions. When i'm done, he says it looks impressive and asks me to hold a few minutes so he can send my answers to hr for an assessment score. After an hour or so he chimes back into the google chat that i scored 8.5 out of 10 and they offered me a position if i'm interested. He said to meet him back in the chat with my answer 9am the next morning. The next morning he answered all my questions, all sounded great and legit. He said he was sending me paperwork with a check to purchase the software needed to connect with the company and a list of the supplies i needed. 3 days later i received a check for $6748.55 with no paperwork, just the check. Even the return address was a different name and address. On chat mallory says my paperwork is coming separately. I never received an offer of employment, why would they send me a check?? The check came from a legitimate credit union, ent from colorado springs,co. They confirmed the check is fraudulent!!these dicks wasted so much of my time. I hope they all rot in hell!
