In April, 2013 I filed a complaint with McGill Management and its Board of Directors concerning undue harm and harrassment I received after McGill demanded I take paid time off from work to meet an Engineer and the maintenance workers at my property. I specifically requested that McGill to accomodate my request to have this work done on a Saturday or Sunday when I was "not working" and would not have to take paid time off from work to accomodate this request. Jim Schaffnit from McGill refused to comply with my request and insisted that I needed to meet the McGill Engineer at my home on Friday, April 19, 2013.
After waiting over 20 minutes for the Engineer who failed to show, I left my property and filed a complaint with McGill regarding my experience and asked that this matter be reviewed and followed up upon by the Board of Directors. This written request was never followed up upon and over 1 year later I am still awaiting for some sort of response.
In June, 2014, I received a threatening written notice of violation from McGill to which the Board of Directors was copied demanding I "move the bushes" at my property. When I followed-up on this matter and asked for specific documentation in the New Century Town Bylaws that outstide landscaping services was the responsiblity for the homeowner, none was provided. To date, I have yet to receive a retraction notice or written formal explanation as to why I am being asked to do "nonsensical" tasks to which other homeowners are not expected to do. I believe we are being discriminated against by McGill and the Board of Directors for some reason. The treatment we are receiving as homeowners is unaccpetable. unprofessional and inappropriate. When a homeowner files a complaint, or requests an explanation for management and/or the Board, the complaint is ignored and/or there is no written response or follow-up.
