These people are bullies. I see from other rip off reports this is not the first time. Here's my story. My dying mother (doctors have given her 1 year) is trying to fulfill her bucket list at the advise of the Hospice nurses. She wants to travel across country to visit my cousin on the west coast and flying is not really a good option for her. She is unable to get in and out of their current 5th wheel camper so they were trying to trade it on a class C driveable RV so she could lay down while traveling. They found one they liked at McGeorge's and asked to have it held for 3 days until my brother and I could come by to see it and my father could actually test drive it.
Just like the other rip off report, they would not hold the RV without a $1000 deposit and made them sign a pre-purchase order. They were wisked into the finance office and they tried to strong arm my parents into buying right then. Even nasty comments were made about having to get the children's permission to make a purchase. (Well knowing you are dying and going to leave your children with a huge debt on a camper they thought it advisable to find out if we would like it and might want it once they are gone.)
Well in the meantime, they found another one they liked even better and would accommodate my mother's lack of mobility even better, so they called McGeorge's about cancelling the purchase order and getting the deposit back.. The sales manager said they were going invoke ""Article 5"" by keeping the $1000.00 deposit my parents had put down. My parents said fine. (they were still getting a better deal on the other camper even with the $1000.00.) They purchased the other camper thinking they were loosing the $1000.
The next day, the sales manager called and informed my father he had decided to invoke ""Article 5"" of the contract instead by forcing them to buy the $67,000.00 RV and were going to sue them for the contract and all legal fees unless they come in and buy the RV from them. He told my father to get a good attorney and have the attorney call them so they could refer him to their attorney. What a way to treat an elderly couple and a dying person at that. Way to win over new customers!!!!
As a member of the family concerned in this post, I had never heard of scamorg until my parents received an email from their attorney. This post was not done by me and I can only assume it was copied and posted from another site I did post on. I have requested this post be removed b scamorg, but I am also informing everyone that this matter has been settled to the mutual satisifaction of all parties an I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused by the delay in removing a pot I knew nothing about
