I purchased this vacation package last December 5, 2013. My very first question when I answered this unsolicited phone call was, is this one of those time sharing deals where you have to sit through a sales pitch, and I was told no, and was assured it was not.
This package included two trips to Mexico, with an additional bonus trip to either Mexico or Orlando. This package was for 5-star, all inclusive hotel of my choice (from hotels listed on their website). During this conversation I asked for any terms and conditions with regards to these vacations but the Rep. said none since this is my vacation and they wanted to be sure that Im going to enjoy it. I surely mention if I can take Mexico trips at one time and No blackout dates as long as I am going to make reservations 3 months before vacation date during peak season.
At no time was I told I could not take both trips at the same time, as these trips were 100% transferrable and i have to attend the 3 hour tour of the resort for time share forum. It is very clear that its a scam and they lied to me about the real case of the vacation packages. I told him(Rep.) my intentions when I purchased the vacations and all good promises and assurances were given to me at that point but non of those are real when I made my first reservations for a Christmas getaway a year after I purchased the said vacation. I request reservations in August 2015 for December holiday but they said the resort was fully booked.
I am so disappointed and trying to reason out to get my money back but they said the company will not do refunds. If only MAYAN BAY VACATIONS will stand on there words towards its clients then it wouldnt be an issue at all.
I purchased this vacation package on February 13, 2014. My very first question when I answered this unsolicited phone call was, is this one of those time sharing deals where you have to sit through a sales pitch, and I was told no, and was assured it was not.
This never ever came up again in the almost 9 months since where I have been trying to book.
This package included one trip to Mexico, with an additional trip to either Mexico or Orlando. This package was for 5-star, all inclusive hotel of my choice (from 5 hotels on their website).
At no time was I told I could not take both trips at the same time, as these trips were 100% transferrable. I told him when I purchased that was my intent, was to make this a family vacation with my daughter and her husband and child, Children were free.
After months of fighting, I then demanded that they listen to the tape that was made when I bought this package.
Then they finally said I could use both, but not at the same resort and wouldn't even put us close enough together, so that was not an option.
Since September I have now been trying just to book the one trip, and they still keep coming up with one excuse after another not to complete the booking.
They have repeatedly changed and added terms and conditions that I never agreed to at any time. I have my signed Certificate, which clearly outlines what I agreed to.
Their latest one is that I have to take this 90 minute tour, and I said no, that was never part of the deal. Once again, they said they had to listen to my tape, and said they would get back to me the next day, and that was weeks ago.
I have asked for a copy of my tape, as they keep using this as an excuse to delay booking.
Pamela must be a very frail person, as her excuse is always that she has been away sick. In fact, she is away again sick now, according to Financial Services. She is the only Reservations person apparently. I will be asking Human Resources if they can confirm all these dates that I have that she had been away sick.
I was told in the spring that I had to wait until September to book, so I tried again beginning of September, and have been fighting with them ever since.
I requested a full refund several times, was told to fill out formal paperwork, which I did, then was told they do not offer refunds.
So I said fine, I will take your tour. I told him I would love to share with my fellow travellers my experience trying to book my vacation.
Now I am getting no responses to messages again. Now I have no choice but to file reports wherever I can, and try to take legal action.
