The Parliament miss read my move out dates on the contract, threw away my belongings and still have yet to reimbursed me. From day one it was a poor choice to move here. I had furniture shipped to the apartments and they lost them. Then they told me that they weren't responsible for any packages but miraculously they found my packages two weeks later. They also came in and installed a faulty AC unit. When reporting that the unit was not working they had no record of them even coming into the apartment when I was physically there to meet "Tiny" the maintenance man. They promised to have it fixed that day but "Tiny" did not show until 8 days later the following week. For that whole week we did not use our AC once but some how racked up a $270 electric bill. We disputed it with "Troy" the manager and "Tiny" was suppose to come by and look at the unit again, the last 3 weeks that we were there "Tiny" did not show up once. Living there was a nightmare and I failed to follow up with the electric bill because I just wanted to get out and leave and put this bad experience behind me.
But this next was the straw that broke the camels back. I had three more days left on my lease and I came home from work finding out that my key card didn't work to get into the garage and that they had switched the bolt lock on my front door. I went to the front office and they said they assumed we moved out because one (of three) of my roommates returned their keys. I still find this odd because we still had two more sets of keys to turn in. So they gave me a key to go into the apartment and when I went back I found my place completely cleaned out. I went back to the office and they said my things would be in a storage unit and that they couldn't access them until "Tiny" was in the next day. I went to sleep at a friends for the night because I had literally nothing. Came back and they only had my clothes and my stereo in storage. They placed my suit on the bottom of everything and basically ruined it, broke off a cable into my subwoofer and they threw away a majority of my things, such as, all my food, Bedding including a $120 tempurpedic pillow, iPhone Charger, and more small day to day use items. This was all because they thought I moved out early (with no move out notice from me). This was the only time Troy had ever shown any customer service towards me and they promised to reimburse me. I made an itemized list on an excel spread sheet and emailed them everything that I had lost. It's now a month later and I have not gotten anything. I
I contact them 3-5 times a week to remind them, and I have to call 5-10 times a day for anyone to answer. This is a Maxx Properties property so I asked whom I can speak to so I can expedite the process and the referred to me to a "Liz Barr". I called her on 9/8/14 at 303 331 0392 and left a message with Sam the receptionist to schedule a meeting just to sit down and possibly get my money faster. I called every business day this week and last week. I have visited their office on Grant st. that is two blocks away from my work twice now and Liz Barr has not spoken to me or gotten back to me. I have tried to be kind and nice because I know they didnt directly harm me but now I am getting a lack of respect. As large as Maxx Properties is I am astonished at how unprofessional they are. The principal of the situation is infuriating, I am a customer and they should try and correct a mistake that they made.
If you're looking into this property or anything Maxx Properties owns I would second guess your decision because it seems the lack of professionalism starts at the top and works its way down.
