Maximum Coatings DFW is a powder coating business. I dropped my stuff off on Monday and David Sr. said would be done by Friday of that same week. Friday I called to check and David Jr. said they were closed because they were moving and would be in the new facility over the weekend and BTW my stuff wasn't done. It would have been nice if they told me about the move when I dropped my parts off.
Immediately, I went up there to get assurance that the parts would be done the following week as that was the drop dead week for me to get the parts reassembled. Again David Sr. said they would be completed. Although they had my parts for 4 days already and had not even moved them from where I placed them in the showroom initially, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I left my stuff for them to complete based on David Sr stating that they would be done the next week. David Sr. called me on the following Monday and said that they were running behind and would not be done as promised.
I went and got the parts and was a little irritated after being lied to twice, especially when I planned ahead and had the parts at the coaters 10 days before I needed them (typical turn around is two to three days at a decent powder coating outfit.) I was told by David Sr. "That he thought I would be happy that he called" - REALLY! I am supposed to be happy that you had done nothing with my parts but move them around your shop and happy that I was lied to directly to my face twice. No I would have been happy if my parts were done! Then he cops an attitude with me - now that is customer service right there - lie to your customers and then give them attitude when they call you on it!
Most powder coaters have a two or three day turn around. I took the parts to another powder coater who could get the job done. Maximum Coatings states that they have a 5 year warranty - with service like this, I doubt they will be in business very long to honor that warranty. Be cautious on any dates that they promise because they do not stand behind their word.
