I Purchased a Golden Brand mattress in the amount of $600.00 ` from the Matress Stop , Rowlett Tx from Owner Casey Vanloon .
At the time of my purchase Mr Caseey Vanloon informed me that I had two weeks to exchange the matress for another one if, I did not like the way it slept.
After one night of sleeping on it , I went back into the Mattress Stop and spoke abt an exchange as promised to me .
I picked out anew softer ,Sleeptronics Brand Flex Mattress and paid the cost difference of 270.00 dollars. Delivery was scheduled . I was satisfied and went home .
On the day of specified delivery NO ONE ever showed . My calls were not returned either. The next day I called and was told the delivery would be made that day. Again, NO ONE ever showed. The next day I went into the store personally and spoke with Mr Casey Vanloon who again assured me the mattress was on the truck and would be delivered THAT DAY. Once more, NO ONE ever showed.
I return to the store the following day and spoke AGAIN with Mr Vanloon who began to tell me a wide range of "" TALL TALES "" ranging from excuse #1. The delivery driver stole our mattresses, #2. We couldnt return your many calls because of phone wouldnt work properly, #3. The was acommunication problem with Staff, #4. There was issue with the manufactor Rep. His stories went on and on ....
I finally said "" I had heard enough of these STORIES "" and simply to resolve this issue by keeping the original Golden Brand mattress I had purchsed for $ 600.00 and recieve a refund for the $270.00, that I paid for the exchange of the Golden Brand Mattress for the Sleeptronics Brand Mattress . Mr Vanloon agreed to this suggestion , at which time he stated that he would have to return the following day for the REFUND check.
I am beginning to become wise to the scrupulous ways of this Mr Vanloon ....... so I insist on him WRITING this promise of refund on my reciept in detail of refund amount , date and time in which refund check would be available for pick up. ( in which he did - as I video recorded him on my cell phone , doing so. )
On the day of specified, I call Mr Vanloon to confirm the refund is ready and you guessed it - NOPE !
MORE EXCUSES !!!! Mr Vanloon then Promises yet agin that the refund can be picked up the next day at 4pm at his store from personally.
Next day, I scamper on over to the MATTRESS STOP to pick the refund check . I arrive as agreed , Mr Vanloon is NOT THERE . While I was still in the store - I spoke with him by phone only to hear more excuses !!!!
I tell Mr Vanloon I have had enough of all of this nonsense . That you can either pay the money owed to me provide me the mattress that I have paid for , or I will pursue legal action, as you cannot have BOTH the mattress and the MONEY.
I call the Rowlett Police ( who were very helpful in assisting me ) and have officers dipatched to store location. I inform them of the situation with Mr Vanloon , show them the sales reciept with his handwritting abt REFUND, and video of him writting this promise. The police speak with the sales associate who was inside the store and she confirms that what I have told them is true.
The police call, Mr Vanloon in an attempt to resolve the issue of the refund and see if they could get him to provide the promised refund without any further complications- to which Mr Vanloon DID NOT WANT TO COMPLY OR UPHOLD HIS PROMISE and instead wanted to file CRIMINAL TRESSPASS against me , so that I can not enter the store in future .
At this time , I am seeking a civil suite aginst Mr Vanloon for the money owed to me. As I have no other choice.
I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS CROOK , MR VANLOON .
POINT BLANK - HE IS NOTHING SHORT OF A THEIF & LIAR , i have since learned of many many mnay people he has ripped off .
