I purchased a 2011 Mitsubish Endeavor from Mattern Automotive back at the end of February. I took it home and within a week I had a problem with the shifter being stuck in gear when the car locking up and not being able to move. I called Mike and he towed it to a repair shop and had the shifter replaced no charge to me. The car was fine for a couple of months and the same problem happened again. It had not ven put 3,000 miles on the car and I am already having to have it towed. So I towed to a friends shop who advised me that it was something with the transmission. He did not take a look at the transmission as it was not his area of expertise. He was able to manually get it to where I could drive it, and no more than an hour later it happened again.
I immediately took it to a transmission shop. The tranmission shop stated that you could tell that someone had looked at the transmission as most of the screws were missing. My buddy doesnt touch the transmission at all, so it was someone prior to me having the car. The car had a broken parking pawl and broken springs in the transmission. I had to get the tranission replaced and it costs me over 3K after parts and labor. The place does not give you any sort of warranty at all so once you drive it off the lot it is yours and they will not take accountability for anything that is wrong with it. Do not buy a car from this place unless you want to be ripped off. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
