I just got my bank statement & found a charge take out of my bank account for $49.95, This account for Mate1.com was started 3/6/14 & cancelled 3/9/14, there were no more charges in March or April & now here in June I get a charge taken out for May on May 11,2014.
I am having trouble with mate1.com i had to cancel once before but it seems they didn't take me off. I checked my account on4/14/2015 and they did it again without permission.I called and they told me i have to go to my search page and it will tell me what to do to get my money back and i did and nothing happened. This is day three and still my money has not been returned to me yet. I am on a fixed income and i don't have money to give away. Mate1.com is a rip off it's not what they say they are. I will be contacting my lawyer and the b.b.b and if i have to i will call channel seven news.
They kept send me a genric email saying they have the right to keep chsrging becaude it is fine print. You have to notify people for permission and you can't keep and collect credit cards to charge for future reasons.
I bought a 3 day trial on Mate 1 dating website. After 3 days they charged me an outragious price of 49.99 for another month without my permission. I email them he I wanted a refund and to shut down my profile. They refused and said they have the right to keep charging my debit card that is is in the fine print when signing up. I did not see it and I read the fine print but it is illegal to keep credit cards on file and it is illegal to keepcharging without permission also no matter what fine print may say. The refuse to shut down my site and profile or remove my debit card and they told me I could do this through the site. It did not work I notified them and they sent me the same generic email.
