Lately i have take to checking in on match, partly to see if they are still in business. Or, to see if there are more reviews to confirm what i now believe to be true, that the qbq emails are set on auto send. In 2018, i fell for the woodtv segment and oh, how i wish i had read the reviews first. What i find deplorable are kim’s sales tactics. I only reached out once but they kept on me for 6 months to join. Kim is a dog with a bone. She is pure sales person, but she lied in every other way. A wolf in sheep’s clothing.
After a 4-hour interview and lots of compliments and promises, she made no effort to ask what i felt is affordable or doable or willing. Instead, i was presented a laminated ‘menu’ with three choices starting at $3000. Only to find out later i could have chosen a much smaller package.
I find it disturbing who they consider matchable with me! esp after a lengthy interview and questionnaire. Not to mention their piss poor communication!!! some of their excuses regarding communication or lack of matches…
· short staffed

I’ve been matched with some questionable men:
· no call, no show, ghosting... Match does nothing to follow-up with these men. They simply do not care. You can't control the actions of others, i get it, but let it be i will not settle just to fulfill their agenda!! i would think mm would find it concerning and not want to waste and anyone’s, time with these ‘men’.

· smokers, couch surfers B/c they don’t have adequate income), still living with exes!! What are they thinking?!)
It's about time mm admit you are not all you claim to be. You are typical sales people and oversold yourselves.
I would even go as far to say this service is of narcissistic mentality.
The one thing you will notice is staff does not stick around. Perhaps their moral compass kicks in?
In speaking with several of my matches my feeling and views are reciprocated. How is mm still in business!! i am so very disappointed with mm and their empty promises, but i am mostly disappointed with myself and my lapse in my god-given wisdom.
I wish I would have read any of the many posts prior to going to MatchMaker of Michigan and I woud have stayed clear of this terrible service. As a business owner myself I thought I would look into their service and if they do the due dilligence they claim to it would be a safe way to date. They prey on people with their promises and high pressure sales pitch. I honestly can't believe I fell for it. I paid 3000.00 and was signed up by the time I left. I was connected with what appeared to be a charming man who played into all of my vulnerabilities.
A few months into the relationship I was blindsided that he was actually living with another woman and checking out his options. I began to get stalked by this woman and that was just the beginning of discovering that everything he had told me was full of lies. One of the main reasons I went to the service was to make sure that the person I was matched with would be financially stable. I find out that this person was anything but stable and had 4 jobs in the past year. I believe his motive was to take advantage of my wealth.
This experince was worse than my divorce. I contacted them and asked for a refund, I felt that was the least they could do. When they ran a background check they obviusly never confirmed his income. They have no plans on refunding myself or any other victims that come through their service. This connection paid 700.00 and another very poor connection paid 1200.00. So they charge whatever they feel they can get from their many victims. I plan on contacting an attorney and exposing them for who they are. My advice to anyone cnsidering the service is stay away .. this is a total scam!!!!!!
If I could rate a zero I would. Lately, I check the MM site; partly to see if they are still in business if it’s been a while since I have heard anything, Or, to see if there are more reviews to confirm what I now believe to be true, that the QBQ emails are set on auto send. As a former employee of MatchMaker Michigan (formerly MatchMaker International) I know all too well about the unethical business practices that take place there. I was employed there for a short period of time and saw enough crazy stuff happen to tell stories for years! If you are a current or former victim of this scam, I would encourage you to contact the Michigan Attorney Generals office to report consumer fraud.
Let's begin with the prices.... When you first speak with MatchMaker Michigan over the phone they will not quote you a price, but insist that they are affordable for everyone and schedule you to come in for a 90 minute interview. Once you've sat in their office for hours and given them all of your personal information, including ID and credit card (they say it's for a background check but they really just want to see if you have a credit card to pay for the program) they will show you the cost of membership, which was $3,000.
00 to $10,000 when I worked there. Yes - THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR A DATING SERVICE!!!
Sales Tactics - They train the sales staff on VERY high pressure and manipulative sales tactics. During the "interview" they will ask you lots of personal questions about your relationships, divorce, future goals, etc. They will try to make it seem as though they are counselors who are going to help you. In reality, they are gathering information to use against you at "the close." They will try to prey on your weaknesses and loneliness. They will tell complete LIES and say whatever they have to in order to get you to sign a contract. They laugh at the fact that almost no one reads the entire contract, because it states that the service is NON-REFUNDABLE. We once had a client pay $5000 and call 30 minutes later to say he changed his mind and wanted to cancel his membership. I had to tell him that there is no refund per the contract even though we had done absolutely nothing for him at this point! I felt awful, but Kim Kanoza (the owner) just laughed as she popped another pill. Which leads me to another point - this place is full of pill-popping nut cases! I believe that Kim Kanoza is exremely mentally ill. She has to pop pills all day long just to function (probably because she knows that she is lying & stealing all day long!) I've seen her break down crying like a teenage girl on many, many occasions and spend hours on the phone fighting with her on-and-off-again boyfriend. I'm sure her crazy behavior is part of the reason for the high turn over rate of employment there. The only staff members who stay are her 2 daughters, who are uneducated, manipulative, young bar girls. Did I mention these are the people you are trusting to find you the love of your life???
Unethical Business Practices - It truly breaks my heart to list all of the horrible things I've witnessed here. Kim and "the girls" love to see old men with credit cards walk thru the door. They laugh at "how stupid" these elderly men are. They flirt with them and always go for a $10,000 sale. In training, Kim told me that she is sure she has gotten many $10k sales from old men that probably think they are getting charged $10. The price on the program says $9995 with no decimal point and she instructs sales people to say "It's only nine ninety-five" to mislead people! I've also seen Kim take $10,000 from a man with a brain injury who was clearly mentally disabled. She gave Ashley a high five after he left and said she didn't feel bad that his family was "stupid enough" to let him have a credit card. They will literally sign up anyone with a pulse and a credit card! The horrible thing is that they have no intention of ever helping these people. It's all just entertainment for them. They don't have any employees who are real matchmakers - no one who has a college degree or a counseling background. They are just a group of CRAZY CON-ARTISTS looking for their next victim!
Matchmaker Michigan is a cross between a horrible joke and a sick nightmare. Nancy Dale Schollhammer who also has a fake company and delights in giving sick relationship "advice" calls her company "Real Life Relationships". When her matchmaking company formerly called Matchmaker International also located on 44th St in Grand Rapids Mi (and also at the same phone number 616-827-1700 as Matchmaker Michigan) went "belly up" and had a "F" rating with the BBB she handed over the company to the new owner and just as crazy, disfunctional and crooked as she, Kim Kanoza Ralph (you can see these two crazy ladies if you look them up on facebook). The two of them work closely together and scheme new ways to find lonely singles and con them out of whatever money they can. They love to use phrases like "We believe their is a pot for every lid" gigle gigle.... They laugh about the people walking through their door who leave "so much lighter" (meaning the little money they have laughed when Nancy and Kim are done raping them over the coals). Don't get into this sick business scheme. It is full of empty promises from ladies (I say this word extremely loosely) who laugh and take joy in the sorrow of others. Please note you have been warned from someone who wishes you no harm and that you can excape the pain that she herself has experienced from running into these moral deprived, ethic lacking "ladies".
