McMarketing classroom) told me they build an amazon affilliate wedsites for $250. Then for $2000 more would drive business Campaign) to my site for 3 months duration.Large numbers).I took them up on it.
Mc sent me lots of information of a" do it yourself" nature, but a month later presented me with an ebayYes ebay) affilliate format with passwords, id and such, that was devoid of any personal connectivity.
Mc provided a how to become an ebay affiliate" video that was pretty much undecypherable, but clearly intended to stick the consumer with all manner of detail that should have been worked out by mc.
One of the many beauties of this operation is serious money is put up front to drive business to ones personal website, that in practice is only "smoke and mirrors".
I lost an additional $2000 picking up an ad agency for enhancing website image for 3 months this was done to my satisfaction; but, then again, my website, as i was to discover did not, and would not exist. Oh yes, mc told me that they were switching to ebay, because of too many amazon problems. Also, it was stated the payout would be much better! for my inconvenience they were doubling my campaign to 6 months.
My ad agency had bee running amazon ads.
Mc provides no hardcopy agreements of what they say or do.
Mc comes across as highly professional and plausible.
The az attorney general office has been notified. We'll see.
I was called and told they would build me 2 websites for $795. One website would be directly tied to Amazon and I would recieve money from ads they would run on this site when people would buy from Amazon through the Amazon Associates site.
They sold me an advertising package for $2995 that would garantee 80,000 customers would visit both of my pages in 6 months.
The other webpage would be for other consumers to sign up and I would be paid a percentage for each new customer.
They sign you up for the Amazon Associates site and give you a password. My daughter bought something from my Amazon page, so when I looked to see if I got paid, the site had been shut down. I contacted an Amazon representative who told me that they did not recognize this site as a legitimate site and they would not pay me anything ever. They could not say that it was a fraudulent site.
I started calling customer service which is a joke. They will not connect you with anyone who can help you and no one will call you back. I finally talked to a David Clark who said he would rebuild me a site and if I was not happy in one month he would refund my money.
He would send e-mails saying he was working on it, but I could never get him on the phone and he would not return my calls. I finally sent letters to the company and David called me. I told him I was tired of their scam and I wanted my money back. Again! David then connected me with Steve who said they do not refund money but that they were still working on my new website. It was taking longer than they thought, but it should be ready in about a week.
Still nothing after 2 or 3 weeks. Sent them an e-mail and said I was going to contacy local law enforcement fraud division and report them. They started calling me on the phone but I did not respond. James Allen e-mailed me that they would refund my money. They refunded my $795 dollars and said it would take 7-21 days to refund my $2995 dollars as they had to take my ads down. That was on March the 9th, 2015. When tried to contact them by e-mail but they have me blocked.
If you get a call from Marketing Classroom, they are a SCAM!
1. They have called me on three different numbers so that tells me that they are buying the list from something that I signed up for.
2. When I asked them what the name of their company is (five times) - they reply that they are contracted by Amazon.
Okay.. but what is your company name?
REPEAT THE SAME.. (contracted by Amazon)
Okay.. but what is your company name that Amazon would know you from?
NO ANSWER.
3. They want to sell you a $499 Amazon Affiliate Store that DOESN"T WORK! I went through this script twice.. and get this: THEY DID A LAST DITCH $199 OFFER FOR THE SAME OFFER.
That's a huge red flag. When someone is willing to drop it so low just to get your money - something is NOT right.
They are running a boiler room, because I heard someone in the background yell, "I got a $400" on the phone signaling to a main guy who does the "recording".
