I just checked my bank account and there were two charges of $32.50 each. I have never heard of this company and I have had zero contact with this company. I don't know what exactly they do, but I have never authorized their services. Of course I tried to contact them and nothing. No one answers the phones or email. By what the website suggests they are affiliated with Trulia.
Do not waste your time with MARKET LEADER! They will tell you how great the program is and send you worthless leads for $264.00 per month. I am a successful Realtor of 30 years and have never seen a sham like this. Most of the leads were already LISTED with agents and most were under contract and in escrow. I called them to tell them the situation and they said it is still a lead and I need to call the lead back. ON A LISTED HOME! I moved into a management position and called to cancel my contract 4 months in. They refused and continuted to bill me until the contract expired. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!
Market Leader has no compassion, their leads are not as good as they say they are, and they refused to work with me regarding my situation. I was very reluctant to sign up with this Market Leader has no compassion; their leads are not as good as they say they are, and they refused to work with me regarding my situation. I was very reluctant to sign up with this company in the first place. I had a bad experience with them in the past. But the salesman was relentless in his pursuits. He assured me that they had made some changes and was certain that I would see results. He explained how leads went through this online process and they were more quality leads by the time they entered their phone numbers. They paint a very nice alluring picture to reel you in. I have yet to get a client from them so far, but I am still trying. However, now I can't even access the leads I have been paying monthly for the last 5 months.
I spoke to them today regarding my past due account for this month. I am only about a week past due and they shut down my access to get into the site to work my current leads. I had a closing that was postponed until the 19th of September which is 7 days away. I explained to the agent that I didn't have any money to pay the bill and in fact my bank account was overdrawn. I also explained to her that I had lost my father this past Monday, which is why I was unable to call them sooner. The agent I spoke to, Jan Barlow, who stated her first and last name with arrogance and an air of confidence as if they are above reprimand, told me she understood what I was going through because she had recently lost her father too. She then stated that I must make a payment in order to regain access; access to customers that I currently have on the site and have been paying for the last 5 months. Now I can't even contact or make updates to those customers. This means I will probably lose any of the ones I may have had a chance to convert. This is wrong and unfair!
It is sites like this that should be taken to court and be exposed for their unfair, bully like mentality. The silver lining is that my 6 month contract is over next month and I can say good ridden to this horrible experience. DONT FALL FOR THEIR SALES PITCH. THEY ARE NOT WHAT THEY CALIM TO BE.
I signed up with Market Leader to receive buyer leads at $25 each. They failed to inform me that phone numbers are not provided. My personal experience has shown that not one lead has a phone number and often times the name is bogus. They required me to sign a 6 month agreement and have not fulfilled their lead commitment to date. After being transferred 3 times the final customer service representative was very condescending and enjoyed talking over me.
He was not interested in helping me, just telling me how I am in a contract and there is nothing else they can do but inform their advertising department. It is my impression they are more focused on numbers not quality. I have generated buyer leads through Craigslist and found that the Market Leader buyer leads are a step below in quality. I do love the Market Leader website and found this to be an unfortunate experience. I will be sending my cancellation notice well before the contract is up (to be sure they do not continue to bill me).
This company is ruining lives stay away they are a scam a trick you into believing you're getting quality good leads and lock you into a six-month agreement there's no way to get out they continue to take your money month after month stay away from market leader I'm sure a class action lawsuit will follow soon they work with other real estate companies to make you think they are legit but they are a scam.
Beware of this company. I found out that even thought Go Daddy said that my Market Leader email address would be forwarded to my email account, I just found out that Market Leader does not allow that. They do not allow or support the verification of accounts like Pinterest with Meta Tags. If you pay extra month to have a ""Pro"" account you must register and put in a number every time you want to get information from ""Market Insider"" Market Insider is part of their scam. They use a second class company second party company to get information on schools. The only information your clients will see is just middle school or schools....no highschools, charter, private or colleges.
Also no ratings or other info on schools. Their answer is ....well the company we use doesn't have complete info on all zip codes...so use another company!!! I used Website Box...Paid a one time fee of $100 and got Meta Tags and other SEO information including complete instructions. If I didn't have to use Market Leader...believe me I would not use them. They even said...well you could also change your domain name after I have had it for a year!
