I was a VFX Supervisor on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine from 1998 to 1999. The producers wrote into the show, a seasonal story arc involving hundreds of spaceships in multiple battles and scenarios in a number of episodes. I am personally grateful to Mark Kochinski for his patient, insightful and creative work and assistance on those exceptionally difficult VFX sequences. I hired this fraud to do Vfx for a project. We signed contracts and I paid him. He continually made excuses as to why he didn't do the work. Then after months finally turned in work that a child couldve done. He refused to do the rest of the work until I paid him more money. I did some research and called a couple other producers who have worked with him. One producer I spoke to is currently dealing with the exact same situation With this fraud! Of not do business with him. You may as well light your money on fire

I am the CEO of the feature film & television production company, and the literary management company, The Cartel. We produce a dozen films a year ranging in budget from half a million up to around $15million, we also currently have 3 television series on the air, with a fourth going into production in January. We also represent writers directors producers and production companies.
Anyway, I am writing as I have heard that you may be considering hiring Mark Kochinski as a potential Visual Effects Supervisor on a project. I have no hesitation at all in giving him a very high recommendation. Mark's work is great, and far exceeded my expectation on a film we hired him for, Fire Twister. Not only was the quality of Marks work top notch, he went well above and beyond to help elevate the project and meet a very difficult delivery. We initially hired Mark to do around 100 shots, and after all was said and done, Mark provided us with closer to 200 shots. He also had to deal with several different competing factors: demanding directors, difficult producers, and a very picky distributor. He shined in his work for us, and I would hire him again in an instant.

But I can safely say that this is total fiction. This never happened.
The only scam here is this person's post.
