was reading this because I just went through his 7 day blog profit free course. Suppose to entice you to join blog profits. The niche he comes up with seemed a little staged. He proceeds to buy the niche on the course and so I went to check it out on alexa to see if it was ranking. Well I can't find the site anywhere. He bought irspaymentplanform.com from host gator and I cannot find it anywhere. I have been reading the bad reviews so I think I will stay away. It doesn't look like you can actually make money with affiliate marketing. I guess someone must be making money but it seems it is only the people who sell products to make money. I have put a lot of hours in and built a few sites but have got nowhere
I signed up for Marcus Campbell's Simple Sites Big Profits on Sept 23, 2013 and was told, via Marcus on onlinechat, that the class would start the next day. It did not start on the 24, nor the next day, or the next. I began asking questions and requestion help via every customer channel Marcus adverstises (chat, phone, email, and trouble ticktes) and received only canned responsed. I never received help.
The sales page has different terms and conditions than the actual sighup page, and if you go to cancel the begin to spin you from one set of T&C's to the other set. The sales page is cute, Marcus promises hands on, live help. He will never take your money and leave you, yet when I pleaded for help, via multiple emails, tickets, calls and chat, I recieved no help. None.
I had some type of acces authorization error and I am sure, if I had had help, that I might have been able to complete the class, however, I was never informed of the date the bootcamp would start, nor did I get invitations to the the alleged live webinars, and I never received help so I could fix the authorization problem.
Four months into my requests for help, and my denial of access to all content, and still wondering why I never receive the live webinar liniks, I was fed up and wanted to canel. Enter in Marcus's second URL. He sent this to me (I was thinking I had a year to cancel), but he boldly implied I was a fool. He sent me this little used, sign up URL with the real 30 day T&C''s and tried to hold me to the contract.
He actually arugured with me for 2-3 days, trying to tell me he would not refund me, but he would place me into the next bootcamp... (why would I want this especially if I never could access the content or webinars from the last alleged session)
I was very concerned when Marcus became a right-fighter and refused my refund. Basic Business Law 101 defines a contract as a meeeting of minds, with clear deliveralbes, dates, etc. Despite my efforts to train Marcus on basic contracts, he stood frim and continued to deny my refund.
I have over 30 years professional sales and marketing experince developing Million dollar joint marketing contracts. I have had a very successful career, and tried to help Marcus with his overall marketing program and defined areas where he could hellp customers best understand his programs, define dates and scheules, and do basic customer content for communications. Customers are revenue, and you must listen to the voice of your customer to devleop your requirements. Marcus has no interest in listening to my expertise, so I summed this experinece up to this... ""to argue with a fool, make two."".
I am writing this before I have my refund, but my next step will be calling my credit card company and having to dispute the charges. What a pain. I will forever remember my experinece with Marcus. His sales pitch and long videos, and caring style really pulls people into his vision of caring, but the reality is he is just another guru out to take your money, leave you hanging and spinning any customer who is not happy.
Don't fall for his charm. Yes, you might learn something, but his approach of caring is a total scam. If you can get your authoriztion to hsi software and systems to work, go for it, but be warned, if you have a desire to cancel he is not pro-refunds. If you need help, you are on your own.
I despise people that portray themselves as helpful caring indicivuals, then turn out to be just your standard guru-con game. These Internet Marketing gurus are a dime a dozen on the internet. Marcus, he is just another guru. Once he get's your money its over for him.
