I unwillingly was forced into a business arrangement with Marcus Blassingame of TSD Agency and of BlackMen Magazine. I initially placed an $850 deposit with an acquaintance of Marcus named Charles Gardner of IEC Studios. This deposit was for an agreement where Charles was to act as a booking agent and have the fashion model Suelyn Medieros of www.Iluvsuelyn.com host an event at my venue. As mentioned above, I submitted a deposit to Charles Gardner through his paypal account. Immediately after receiving my money, Charles Gardner gave my money to Marcus Blassingame and told me that he no longer would be able to assist me and I must deal directly with Marcus Blassingame.
Shocked that Charles Gardner would sway from his fiduciary responsibilities and give my deposit money to someone unknown to myself, I reluctantly called Marcus Blassingame. Dealing with Marcus was a nightmare from the beginning. Initially, Marcus said Charles never gave him the money. After several dozen calls to both Marcus and Charles, Marcus finally did admit that Charles game him my deposit money. However, Marcus said Charles owed him some money, and Charles said Marcus owed him some money from other endeavors so they would commingle and hold my money until their debts to each other were resolved. After countless calls and emails, Marcus said he would not refund my money, and that I had to sign a new agreement with him through his company TSD Agency to book Suelyn on a different date, and I would not get my money back. Left with no options, I signed his contract. Shortly after the new agreement was signed and faxed to Marcus, he sent me a text saying he was not giving my deposit back and he would take my apology in cash. I believe this was his way of saying he was stealing my money.
After receiving the text from Marcus, I called Charles Gardner who said that my money is now with Suelyn and he cannot deal with her as she is not willing to provide him with the name of the individual she wants to accompany her to host the event or other necessary information. Therefore, I must deal directly with Suelyn and once again, he did not want to be involved in the transaction. However, this time Charles did not provide any contact information for Suelyn.
As can be seen, this event was a total shenanigans and the only way to deal with individuals like Marcus Blassingame and Charles Gardner is in court. People BEWARE of MARCUS BLASSINGAME. He was involved in stealing my deposit money and it is going to be a very difficult process getting it back. I also have had to cancel two events due to his scam. I have nothing to show for it other than six weeks of wasted time and a loss of $850. BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU DO BUSINESS WITH MARCUS BLASSINGAME OF TSD AGENCY AND OF BLACKMEN
