We needed help with our Mortgage, Kevin Fox answered our help through the HUD Making Home Affordable. I asked to speak with an Attorney at his office to check him out, he stated that he was an Attorney, and so, he supposetly worked out a deal with our Lender, and he had us starting on a Temp Trial Payment plan towards our Escrow account, and the payments were to be send to Make Home Affordable on a Cashiers Check or Money order, no personal checks.
Once we sent in the payment of $1473.63 I waited for a receipt from HUD Making Home Affordable or our Lender, we got nothing. I called Kevin and days later, his respose to me was, there really isn't anything to show right now. I emailed him to let him know there will not be any more payments till we get receipts. I called the HUD Office and talked with Jason Biggs who told me that Kevin Fox is a Pro Bono attorney and that he is working with our lender, but that we could call and talk with the Escrow Dept from our Lending Office, because each Dept doesn't communicate with the other. So we sent in the next payment fo $1473.63, and had it FedX for an additional $58.00, to 27762 Antonio Parkway Suite L-1-444 Ladera Ranch Ca.
We then called our Lender to talk with the Escrow Dept, that's when we were told that that Dept doesn't speak with anyone because they are not the once that make the final desitions, and they are not aware of any payments prior and now, and that they wouldn't take anything less than what we have to pay which was $2273.63, and that they would have to send it back to us.
I emailed Kevin and asked for my money back, he told me that we needed to stop talking with our Lenders, and to chill out, and let him do his job, and that we didn't need to make any more payments. I asked him for his CA Bar # I'm still waiting for it, we also asked for our money back, this was 5-19-14.
I called our County District Attorney Office for help into this matter, and that was a waste of time, Mr.Malcolm Vohan said he did call and spoke with Kevin Fox, who said he was not an attorney, and our money was going into the Escrow account, I told Mr. Vohan yes he told us that too, but that our Lender doen'st have it.... So our owen District Attorney Office will not help us with this matter.
if you look under HUD Making home affordable Kevin Fox you will find listed as an Attorney who has helped people across the country, Arizona, Florida, Nevada, Maryland, Virginia, District of Colombia.
He has covered himself by adding on his website that because he is Employed by the federal Gov. as such he is not required to be admitted to each state's bar association and can practice anywhere in the United States.
To date, kevin has not answered any of my many emails from 5-19 on requesting our money back, and when I've called to speak with this so called Jason Biggs, Kevin has aswered the phone. These guys are nothing but SCAMMER!!!!!
WE are now in Foreclosure, and we are try to get help from Keep Your Home California. WE also have a Law Firm that we will go to if Keep Your Home CA. can't help us.
