I ride the 125 bus route. I have complained through emails several times about the non-existent schedules of the buses to the company, the city mayor and the county mayor about the continuous problem of waiting for a bus. The buses are supposed to run every 20 minutes but never show up on time - riders can wait from 40 minutes to an hour or more everyday. I haver received few, if any, responses regarding this problem from the recipents of my emails. There is a lack of compassion and caring for the citizens who depend on buses to get to their employment - some have been fired because of it. There is no leadership. One night in particular during a torrential rain storm, a rider and I were waiting about 40-45 minutes for a bus. When one pulled up, it drove passed us to the red light. We went up to the door and banged to let us in. The bus drive refused, saying it was a drop-off bus only (the sign did not indicate ths). When we pointed out that the sign did not say it was a drop-off only, he proceeded to change it but still refused to let us on. There were only about eight people on the bus. The light turned green and he took off, leaving us drenched in the storm. I wrote to Lynx about the problem and they said they would look into it. I did not hear back until I wrote back asking what the outcome was and the displinary action taken. They said they had to review the videos. I guess there was no dispute of what happened because they finally wrote back saying the reviewed the tapes and cited the bus driver with several violations. The problem with the 125 bus route arriving on schedule goes on. There has been no other correspondence from Lynx, or the two mayors, advising what steps are being taken towards straightening this out. There is such a lack of caring for the citizens of this city/county who depend on public transportation in this city. I am not sure where to go from here since I am not getting any cooperation from people who run the bus system or the city/county. I will not give up though and hope that others are writing to complain (I here enough of it standing and waiting for buses). By the way, they are now initiating a train system in the city - something that no one will ride, and will just cause more traffic tie-ups in a city where you can't run a train system underground and is not constructed on lifts so as not to disrupt an already traffic-jammed city. (I have emails as proof of communication if needed).
