Lyft is no more than a second rate taxi company, they allow anyone with a car truck or van to drive passengers around, this is dangerous, my encounter was, i was hired to be a driver and after buying a 2012 nissan altima spending the neccesary cost about 3200.00 thats cool, it takes money to make money, so i started driving and 10 days later i was sent a notice to improve my driving score which was only .3 points below 5 stars, then out of nowhere they deactivated my acct and would not allow me to drive for them anymore, remember this is after i bought a new car specifically for this job, registration, full coverage inc and downpayment for the vehicle.now i have a lot of bills but no job, its unfair to deactivate a driver that is so invested in the company, they should of worked with me and given me a chance, after all we are only talking .4 points below 5 stars. also they do not pay ontime i waited 2 weeks to get paid, it takes them 48 hours to respond to your email, the whole thing is just frustrating, afterall the company is run by a bunch of kids who no nothing about treating the drivers with dignity and respect, we are the ones who allow the company to operate, not the staff, w/out drivers they are nothing. word of advice, treat your drivers better or you will have none.someone should organize a union to keep these people in line and teach them to treat there drivers better.
Lyft.com is a rip off, beca Their appuse they will not speak with you. Th eir app does not work. I have downloaded it two or three times on each my computer and my phone in an attempt to become a driver to make some extra cash. The app does not allow you to upload driver info that they request. i send the trouble shooting questions that are answered by automation.
Then they send e-mails and texts ,at least 10 so far asking you to finish your application. I am done I don't need to see the same question ignored 10 times. If this is the way the company is run I don't want to work for them.
