Cindy Broadwater is not to be trusted. The marina has old poorly maintained equipment, over priced goods in the store and management that plays very loose with the truth. There is always a snake in paradise and Broadwater fits the bill. I'm a 73 year old disabled vet she lied to and refuses to refund my money while denying me what I paid for. You have been warned. Note that the campground staff and Sheriffs department told me my complaint is not uncommon.
I couldn't take it anymore and I quit today. I have watched this lady Cindy Broadwater rip people off by sending them out on crap boats and when they come back early or got stuck out on the water and ask for a refund or store credit she will reject them. I dealt with a lady the other day and when I went to go get Cindy she told me "tell them to go away and that I'm not here". She then proceeded to hide out at the docks until they left. I'm going through my first pregnancy and I am in my first trimester. I had my fiance call in for me and tell her that I am throwing up and unable to work today. I made sure he called in as soon as the store open which was 8 o'clock in the morning and my shift started at 11:45 a.m. she told my fiance to tell me that this is super inconvenient and that I should know that this is one of her biggest business days. When I came into work the next night she asked me for a doctors notice. I told her that I didn't have a family doctor yet and I wasn't going to the emergency room for morning sickness. she then proceeded to tell me how its not considered a sick day and it's considered a no show which is grounds for termination. I questioned her on that. I brought attention to one of the health signs that were hanging up. In big bold letters it says "vomiting or diarrhea it's against the law to come in call your boss stay home!" Cindy Broadwater told me that the sign that I was talking about was talking about if I had the stomach flu not morning sickness. she started telling me about air borne sicknesses and told me that it was caused by the flu and not by throwing up because of morning sickness. then I asked her directly if she thought it was better for me to come to work throwing up then it would to not show up. her response to me was yes I much rather you come in throwing up than not come in at all because you're sick. I then told her that she was stupid and obviously does not know how to run a business. I refuse to be throwing up in a kitchen and serving people food as this is going on. this needs to be reported to the Health Group. this is only a very small complaint when I could file so many about this and many other things.
