SKETCHY. That is all I can say. I applied to be a freelance writer. I have experience. They kept sending emails about how I was inactive, almost immediately. Those emails started about within 1 day of applying. I finally responded telling them I cannot write if, upon logging in, I find no articles available to write. They then start sending emails about requiring a picture ID. I really don't love this kind of stuff as you never really know who you are dealing with online and my feeling is if they have my Paypal, that is all the information they should need. In any case, I decided I would do it as I enjoy writing. Withing a few hours after submitting my "uploaded picture ID," I received an email my account was deactivated for inactivity. This all occurred within 4 days of signing up, or being hired as it were.
I am really suspicious as to what they are really up to and why, it seems, they are overly concerned with getting a copy of our picture ID? This is why my first word here was sketchy. It makes you wonder who they really are and what they are doing. This business of closing accounts immediately after receiving a copy of a picture ID leaves a person feeling like they are up to no good. Beware is all I can say, of what I am not sure yet. Just beware and there are enough legitimate writing companies online. You don't need to deal with this kind of questionable outfit.
