After working 18 plus hours a day in a hot Fort Worth Texas warehouse, supervisors were being made to drive hundreds of miles and make multiple deliveries which required the drivers to be at work and on the road for well over 24 hours. It's now 4 days past payday and they told us we have to come in at 10:30 pm if we want our checks - this is a 24 hour operation.
I worked in Admin for this same company but they had me on 'salary' even though I had no authority of any kind. The terminal manager asked me to 'force' another employee, a black lady, to quit stating that she didn't want to pay her unemployment. I worked 15 to 18 hour days in a warehouse without fans or cooling in July in Texas. They also accused me of having 'corporate' documents that were actually just copies of the company where the Terminal Manager had worked before and she instructed me to change the name from her old company to LRS.
This was a very ugly and mickey mouse environment to work in. There was no concern for driver safety. One driver was in the emergency room between shifts, 6 hours was all the time between his shift, he was dehydrated but they made him drive anyway then got mad when he had to come back because he was throwing up! Another driver had been bit by a poisonious insect and had side effects which included diarhea. The terminal manager, a woman, told the driver she wasn't believing that "s***" and made the driver explain to the 2nd in command in the company. It was really ugly and low classed.
